Man I really wish more of the dbd community was like the post-game chat after that first match, I’ll occasionally get really wholesome messages after playing killer on ps4 (complimenting my build/playstyle, thanking me for letting them live cuz I’ll do that with the last guy sometimes) but 9 times out of 10 it’ll be incredibly toxic shit despite doing my best to play fair

I think the way they use the generator aura colors is fine because no matter what perk you use, white means "don't worry about this gen" and yellow means "you're gonna want to come over here"

I think it'd be neat if BHVR started an 'Entity League' after you hit rank 1, where you can opt in to play with exclusively other players in the League. Ideally, it'd function as a sort of elimination system, where you attempt to climb up 5 'Auric Ranks' or whatever, but can only depip 5 times or something. People that can climb to the top earn a big ol iridescent shard reward or Auric cells or something.

I think it's because your Radius is incredibly massive which is making them nervous as hell because they think you're right next to them.

Rank 1 is basically a timegate at this point. You can easily get it as long as you play enough, you're not punished enough for bad games and you only have to put in the smallest bit of effort to no-pip so even for your worst games, you still won't drop a rank in most cases.

Gotta give it up to you, Tofu. Really smart build, I'm liking it. Keep it up.

In the end Doctor rework was a Buff and not a Nerf as always (except when we talk about the snap out mechanics). I'm so glad about that

I did the math, with the 16 second time on the generators plus ruins double regression speed, the generators lose 8 seconds of progress or 10%. Considering this is on almost all generators I'd say it definitely competes with pop's 25% on only one. Definitely gonna try it out seems like it could make new doctor extra viable

ranking system should be based on chasetime excluding extremes. If you get survivor with big global record of long chases very fast everytime you chase him, you should be awarded with red rank no matter what rank you currently have. Ranks should dynamicly change based on how other players performing in non related matches. Game should store history of all match and use it to calculate proper rank every hour or day.

Today I had 4 4K games, then got 3 games back to back where my Hex:ruin and Hex: Devour of hope got cleansed in before I found the first survivor

On the topic of ruin lasting: With old ruin the majority of survivors euther ignored gens to find ruin asap or just did the skill checks, so ruin would either be cleabsed early game or not matter because the survs know how to do the checks. With new ruin the survs seem to have a lot less ergency in actually cleansing the totem, whether its because they don't realise there's ruin or they chooset to try to pressure one gen at a time so ruin has minial effect I'm not sure; probably a mix of both those reason and others. I've played a bunch of games with my main wraith and new ruin ands its lasted most or all of the game most times. On the topic of survivors at high ranks being bad more often: Ranking up is not that hard, as long as you spent a decent amount of time alive and were being productive most of the game you'll probably pip and almost certainly at least safety pip. The only surv games I rly depip in are the games where I get tunneled, morid, or I was memeing. The thing keeping less skilled survs at lower ranks was rank reset, and now that it only resets you one color there's A LOT more suevs at purple and red ranks. In addition the changes in matchmaking means a lot of my surv games (I hover around rank 3-5) are against green rank or lower killers. So you have more lower rank killers going against higher rank survs and rankrestet being nerfed; which means a lot more boosted survivors. And hey, sometimes a red rank surv just has a bad game, sometimes I'll run a killer for 3 minutes other times I'll die at a jungle gym cause I ran into a wall, everyone makes mistakes.

Could you do a similar build with plague? Use addons that increases sickness from objects and prolong the sickness. If they touch the gen they get sick, or they can wait for the sickness to go away and suffer with ruin.

Idk if anyone has said it yet but honestly people might be using Sprint Burst more because Ussylis has been talking about how it’s the “best” exhaustion perk in all of his videos lately.

yeah this build work, after your statc blast they cant do gens for 2,5 seconds. i made the math, if they wait the 16 i would take on total 8 seconds to repair the same ammount that was regressed by ruin, on total they will lose 26,5 seconds to be exacly were they was on the gen progress

I think the actually issue is that a lot of ppl still play the same 3~4 killers, so some don't know how to go against the killers played less at rank 1 despite being rank 1. The doctor also makes a lot of people lag and they certainly haven't fixed that.

I have seen this build on literally every doctor in the last 2 days.

Problem with new ruin is that it works great for killers who can force multiple people off of gens easily (Legion, Doctor, Billy, Nurse, arguably Pig if she can keep a RBT on at least one survivor consistently), but not great for killers who really need early game pressure/don't have great map pressure (Trapper, Myers, Plague). Which was basically the whole point of Ruin (being an early game gen slowdown perk), but I digress.

What if you ran play with your food on Doctor? The perk that a lot of people use on Bubba. That could help deal with his mobility problem

I did this perk set and it destroys (im rank 12 rn but rank does not matter anymore cause u get paired with 20's anyway) I get a lot of people disconnecting and in my most recent I have a survivor call doctor pay to win it. Overall great perk set makes the survivors cry.

Hey Tofu, kaguya from Lery's game, after the first time I figured this was the strategy you were using and was thoroughly impressed, the second time you tried it I managed to get back on the gen before tremors popped, I'm not sure if it was delay from tremors or I just managed to get back in in time. Thought it was a great game and really enjoyed playing!

The weird thing with new doctor is that I can run perks that lower my terror radius, as long as I don't use static blast during it. I've had moderate success with dark devotion, which is a perk I never thought I'd run on doctor.

Maybe instead of distressing, you can run m&a to combine it with stealth doc

Calm II is +/- 8m, Calm III is +/- 12m So 65'52 m when static blast is ready and 15'12 m when static blast is not ready Calm is amazing Also u can use POP, so u can use your shock or static blast to get then off the gen, and them POP the gen, that's also really funny

The New ruin is great on him, Just use thrilling tremors+survaillance+thanatophobia+hex ruin, and use add ons that makes survivors get 3 stage of madness faster

mhh what did change in detail with the doctor now? just that you don't have to switch between stances anymore? i still don't completely get it...i thought when you are shocked you can't drop pallets or vaults windows just like you mentioned, but at around 19:40 you shocked that girl and she still dropped a pallet. when do you know that they can't drop a pallet or vault? :/

The static shock made me think of something does the ability span out slowly or does its affect the terror radius range instantly simultaneously if its the first one it would be interesting to see the distance from the static shock and the timing required to perfectly force someone off a gen the reason why i think this may be a thing is because you said you might of picked up someone to fast or maybe theres just a delay maybe both

Nemesis, ruin, dead mans switch, and distressing would be better imo. Shock after hook, and get 40 seconds instead of 16. With ruin thats like having two pops

Why not run "Surge" as well? Putting a Survivor into the Dying State with a Basic Attack causes all Generators within a radius of 32 metres to instantly explode and regress. Surge applies an immediate regression penalty of 8 %. I'm pretty sure the "explosion" also acts as an interrupt. Down, shock, pick, hook... I think I'm gonna run Distressing (for the increased range), Surge (for the 8% on downs), Tremors for the block, and Ruin for the passive regression....should be a 3 gen nightmare.

What about this with surge? Would surge apply if the gen is being worked on? Then apply 8% regression and then ruin kicks in and then it is blocked and regressing at 200% for 16 seconds

Im curious if the stun of surge lasts long enough so Tremors can be activated, if so it would be a total regression of 18%... on multiple gens if lucky

Little Late to the Party, but Gens don't regress when blocked by perks like Tremors, Dead Mans Switch, etc.
