My mother had type 2. I taught how to cook and eat healthy cause she spent her life eating whatever she felt like I even gave her a cheat day. She cried until I showed her how to cook healthy but still have flavor and now she does not even have to take pills. She just checks her blood sugar regularly

I went into DKA twice. 1st time I didn't know shit about it, 2nd time I slipped back into old eating habits and was hard headed...that shit makes you feel like you are on death's door I swear. Hard to break habits you've had your whole life but you got to take that shit one day at a time. They had me in the ICU both times and said I couldn't eat for 48 hours. Weird thing though, when they put me on the insulin and potassium drips, I wasn't even hungry or thirsty. Shit crazy.

I can admit that I wasn't a fan of his music back n the day because I liked more lyrical content, but seeing this interview has allowed me to respect him so much. Apologies to OJ for any prejudice I had back in the day.

This exact same thing happened to me this year in February, he ain’t lyin I would drink a gallon of anything and if it had any sugar at all I would throw it all right back up but I could not quench my thirst, I would piss every 5 minutes, by the time I finally went to the hospital my sugar wouldn’t read it just read High, I had Diabetic Ketoacidosis, and I was on an insulin drip for 24 hours in the ICU and now I’m on 75 units of insulin twice a day with breakfast and dinner! That diabetic shit noooo joke!!
