One thing i can say for sure is that Nigeria is blessed with lots of food and being a vast country with various tribes, people eat some food plants in different ways. Bambara nuts grows in Abundance in Nigeria but just a few tribes like the Enugu, Kogi's , Kaduna , Benue and North Central people use it more for food.
Okpa is a name giving to Steamed Bambara nut pudding in the south and it is made to look very tedious to prepare but in this video, it is completely simplified cos all you need is a very Good blender, the nuts, Palm oil, Pepper, Onions, Salt, Seasoning, Optional garnishing, here i used shrimps , steam and you are good to go.
If you have Bambara nuts, do give this a try, it is very tasty.

Yummy! Thank you so much for this recipe. Please, did you wash the okpa seeds before blending? How did you get them clean from the market?

You can wash and dry them before use. Also if you have a good blender, you can wash then blend with water (no need to dry it). But because the nuts rises with water, just add the nuts a little at a time in the blender with appropriate amount of water, just like you would do moimoi

I didn't know one can update Okpa with shrimps etc. I just cook mine the traditional way with only salt, pepper and red oil. I will try adding onions next time.
