Used to drive one of these in 1976 at local Tarmac quarry here in Yorkshire uk, was a good truck but when it rained , water came in around the Windows and caused the windscreen to most up, was a pain in the butt to keep wiping it to see where I was going , but had to do it with wife & 2 kids to feed at 23 years old.😁😁

Driving one of those trucks was my first road destruction jobs. Used to fall asleep going so slow up the haul road then wide awake back down.

This was a great massive truck in its day. The first time I drove one was like driving a childhood sandbox dream, but the dream turn into drudgery after few hundred hours.

Never got hold of one of them but made up for it in an R-22 and R-35 12-V 71 and 6-speed Allison bang shift green lizard Euc and the 40 ton Terex with a Cummins and then the Rolls Cat trucks. Old Cats run forever. Thanks!

There are two problems with this video, one the camera work, a wide shot showing the hole truck just how large it is. Close-up of components that fill hole picture frame. The second is ground that this truck is parked on, it's covered in fluid. Miner Safety Health Administration & OSHA would tear this truck apart because of the puddle fluid it is parked over.

They have to see it first. We always hid the old leaky stuff and put some gravel over the stains.
