This was a big challenge. I found this cupboard on Fb Marketplace. It needed a new foot and some other bits but it was all worth the final results !

How great is it that it was oak all over, that you were able to get the stains out, and took care of the repairs in short order. 👍🏻 And of course to took care of it too to bottom, the insides, & all around. It’s a sweet little piece now. 😉

My dad loved chocolate covered cherrys. Lol. He passed away in 2018 but on his birthday (yesterday) and Christmas we eat one in his memory. Then we pray and thank God for what he’s done for us through the year!

On Christmas Eve, we attend Church, we all receivenew matching pajamas, eat a prime rib dinner, read "Twas the Night Before Christmas" aloud, and watch movies together. On Christmas Day, we get up early, open our Christmas stockings, eat a lovely breakfast, and open gifts before getting ready to have our extended family over for a Christmas Buffett. After everyone leaves we turn off all the lights in the house except the Christmas Tree lights and enjoy the beauty of our tree. It is a pretty much perfect day. I am from the United States, Washington State.

We had dinner with our daughter and her boyfriend, beef Wellington with my husband’s special potatoes, and pavlova for dessert. We watched Christmas movies together till we got sleepy and went home very happy. It was lovely. Amazing restoration!

Happy new years from the US! Growing up my family had a tradition where my dad would put the first clue of a scavenger hunt in the toe of our stocking to find on Christmas morning. We’d spend the rest of the afternoon following clues and solving puzzles all over the house and yard until we found a gift at the end! I plan to keep the tradition going if I ever have kids.

It turned out really beautiful! Like new. Watching you work, reminds me of my husband, he could fix and repair anything; but where you are meticulously tidy, if I didn’t keep his tools organized, he couldn’t find a thing! Lol. But as long as I organized his tools (so he could find them) he was a real craftsman!

I live in the United States. When I grew up (born 1955) we had one tradition for Christmas that I loved, and I carried it over into my family when I had kids. We got to open ONE present on Christmas eve, saving the rest for Christmas morning. I gave my each of boys an optional choice of 2 presents that I picked out. (I would not offer their "big" present as a choice.) Thank you for this video. It was great and I love the way it turned out. You are an artist.

Gorgeous result! You asked about our holiday customs. Here on the Northern California coast it's crab season. We always have crab for dinner on Christmas Eve. My mother in-law is from the American South--Tennessee, where it's customary to have black-eyed peas for good luck on New Year's Day. We have those with collard greens, ham, and cornbread. I like stripping/scraping as much as possible, and save the sanding for the last bit. I hate trying to sand paint because it gums up the paper so fast 🥴

I just fell in love with its little legs! I’m so glad you could restore the one! (I thought of the animated Beauty and the Beast!) It must have been an expensive piece or a bespoke one, with the oak. In the mid-50's our tradition was to visit extended family members. My mother being the youngest of eight it fell upon our family to visit her much older siblings and cousins. I have great memories of that. Thanks for all your hard work and most of all the results. Narragansett Bay

A golden restoration for sure. Nice way to end the year. The music you used was very soothing. I loved it. Our Christmas in Hudson Valley of NY state was quieter than years past. Only our youngest married daughter was home to celebrate. She had cats to care for. We had a traditional turkey dinner. Thank you for asking. May 2024 bring joy to us all.😊

I live in the small town of Myrtle Creek Oregon USA. I usually go up to visit my two sons during Christmas. They live up near Portland. I moved back down here about 10 years ago. I have a brother & sister. I live with my sister & brother n law. Things happen in life . I really enjoy watching your videos. I wish I could do things like that.
