I like light wood. But this screamed darker for me. And I love brass on darker wood. But as always, I love your work and love sharing it with my elderly father (89) that can’t enjoy his own woodworking anymore.

I think easy : chance that light color for much more darker color !! Unfortunately the color did make this piece not the way it shout be.... The Pieces is looking magnificent and a darker color would look so much better !!

I get a lot of ideas from watching you. I love your relaxing voice and watching your cats and the neighborhood cats also.

I've always loved to fix or remake furniture but never had a place to do it nor good tool. I live in a senior apartment. I recently received a dresser without the mirror and it's a faux bamboo one. The person that gave it to me was going to sand blast it because it had about 5 different colors layered painted on it and different kinds of paint. But he thought I needed to put my clothes in right a way. So now I am trying to remove it with paint stripper that doesn't seem to be strong enough to soften and a pocket knife or box cutter. Very painstaking but I enjoy it. Some of the wood looks fake some looks like wood. The top is like hard plastic. I have a cat that demands I don't work on it so I haven't got that many years to live and I have the feeling I won't be finishing it. But it's something to tinker with until my brain dies. I wanted to paint it the color of an old bamboo sort of like a beach sand color. But don't know what kind of paint to use. Acrylic or Enamel? Or something different like oil based? What do you think.

As far as the furniture is concerned...do what's going to sell! If you decide to go 'light' then perhaps the whole piece should all be the same color. Having different shades all over it could have been distracting. 💁🏻‍♂️ Jay, just do you. 😁

As a former nurse, I understand your concern about wearing the PPE, washing your clothes, and fumigating the entire workshop. As mentioned in other posts, lead paint is nothing to be sneezed at with the harm it can cause. It's a miracle we all grew up with functioning brains in the past, between asbestos and lead paint. Again, KUDO to you, Jay, for the beauty you find within each item you transform from "What are you even thinking?" into "OMG! That is breathtaking!" That piece of furniture can now do a Snoopy Dance.
