I took a 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme on the Old Dale Rd. with some friends back in high school. The park was just a monument back then. We thought we had it made until we heard the engine knocking about 15 minutes east of 29 Palms. Turns out we poked a hole in the oil pan somewhere along the road. I still can't believe we made it into town without destroying the engine.
