The reason everyone should buy a diesel is it is much harder to open the wallet of someone with a gaser super duty. Diesels make us mechanics well into the 6 figures with all the repairs and maintenance they need! 10k tune up. Yes please!

Service and maintenance is easy! Oil cooler, egr cooler is easy to do if you take your time. Thank you for the videos Arod!

I was looking real hard a a 6.0 SD. The prices are pretty high and then Bulletproof wanted 17k. More to make it reliable(maybe). I ended up buying a 24 F350 with a 7.3 and 4.30 gears. Hopefully the lifer problem was corrected in mid 22. My truck is a daily driver with many trips less than 5 miles.

Got me a 05 6.0. my dream truck when I was a little kid. New trucks have a nicer interior but the exterior styling is not for me plus with the extra emissions headaches I'm not willing to mess with

Had to Laugh out Loud when it struck me that there were like a Half Million dollars worth of soup R Dutes on the PTT Floor. And remember kids, You can Never have too many Lights on Your rig. Thanks for reppin us crazies who are still clinging on to our Six'os !

i went from a f150 to a ram power wagon (both gas) to now my 1st diesel - 19 F250 and I can't see ever not having a diesel again. I helped a buddy tow his 10,000 pound camper over i70 from denver to grand junction with ease, i just brought a fully loaded trailer of nebraska hardwood home today, yeah the regen stuff is annoying but it seems to just work. love that exhaust brake, it's just a great truck and... pre-coof shortages and stupidity.

Yeah once you tow something relatively heavy and the diesel simply doesn't even notice it's behind you that's when it clicks in and you become hooked! I remember when it hit me too. My buddies dad had a (new at the time)'95 f250 w\ a 7.3 zf5. Hooked up to equipment trailer with bobcat, bucket, forks etc - get in truck put in gear and let off clutch, the engine just went didn't bog down at all and that's without even touching gas pedal. Between that & seeing a tractor pull with all the diesels in it, after that I was hooked & would never buy a gas engine truck! Diesel power! These new ones are ridiculously powered too!😄👍🏻👌🏻🛢️

I like my 7.3 gasser. Does its job for me and only put about 8k miles/year with about half of those being trips north.

You can still get the 6.2 well up until 22 i think . The IMRC fails all the time on them. Subscriber emailed me yesterday about his 2019. His failed. They are on stop sale with no ETA they literally quit making them until they are fixed and pulled all the rest. The 2018+ is a whole manifold. The 2017 back you can replace the solenoid. Did a lot of diagnosis on those bad boys. And a couple valve spring explosions.

My next Superduty will have the 7.3 gas. Diesel repairs are too expensive. All the emission equipment is a problem waiting to happen.

I bought a 07 with the 6.0 about a year ago. No major complaints. Just a lot of general maintenance items.

The new 6.7’s have amazing HP/torque. The body and interiors are beautiful and they are so quiet, but my 2002 F250 7.3 PS SB crew cab 4x4 looks super clean and will still be driving when those 6.7’s are in the shop for engines, electrical, def, etc. I won’t even bring up the cost, but damn, they are soooo sweet looking.

My 2017 dually has given me 46k problem free miles since new. Now concerned about oil pump issues! Overall it’s been a great truck.

7.3 gas is pretty solid. But I'll take a 6.7 the one time a year it would be beneficial.

I have owned fords for almost 40ty years now. As far as current engine options, its 6.7 all the way for me. I keep my tracks for a long time and i feel the 6.7 was the most durable choice

I purchased a brand new 22 F350 CCLB XLT FX4 and it’s been flawless. I’ve ceramic coated the truck and detailed the interior and I couldn’t find any quality control issues. I’ve replaced cold side charge pipe aftermarket S&B Banks 5” DPF back Banks cold air Banks idash with stealth pod. We tow our fifth wheel. It’s a perfect truck.

My 15 powerstroke with 190k miles runs top notch. I'll drive that thing into the ground before I get anything else. Regular maintenance is key.

Currently '17 F250 CCSB 4x4 6.2L..i had IMRC issue and was told backorder.... pitched a fit at corp Ford and ESP. I got one in 2weeks, I hate the corroding coil nonsense at $200 a coil, but did the boot/spring thing @$10 per coil and things are much better now. only have 53k miles on it. and really like this truck. ( I have owed 3- 6.7L's and they were all money pits) as for older I recently picked up a cheap 1995 F250 Reg Cab LB 4x4 5.8L ( not from the rust belt) nothing special, but fixing it up and having a great time wrenching

I just got my 7.3 back on the road with some upgrades. KC TURBO STAGE 1, CNC Fab 160/0's, uppipes, glow plugs and improved reply, new hoses, valvebody accumulator and hydra with jellibilt tunes. 200 miles so far and love it. Also have a 6.7 powerstroke. Love them both but like the sound of my 7.3.

I'd love to have one of these 6.7 Scorpion engine trucks but the price tag keeps me in my 7.3 from 2000. $80k+ is alot of money, but they are beautiful, amazing, powerful trucks though. Unfortunately my budget right now can't do the $1000+ payment per month....that what i paid for my '00 7.3 zf6 truck. Yeah it old, its an XL with hand crank windows, rubber floor, ripped pleather(vinyl) bench seat, but it's paid for and will keep going for many more years, plus no DEF, SCR, EGR BS!. Shes at close-to 280k miles going strong, just put new injectors,glow plugs, & UVCH into it, so its good to go for another 100k or so miles atleast! Whenever i do have to get another truck it most definitely will be a diesel powerstroke for sure, 110%!!👍🏻👌🏻🛢️🛠️🔧🔩🦺🚧⚠️🏗️🚜😀🇺🇸

had 2020 f250 7.3 gasser tranny at 26k then started acting up, then I took a step forward got the '23 f350 6.7L long bed , and as my friends all said once you have a diesel your never going back, they are right .no issues at 16k great mileage when not towing, and being in the rockies the engine braking is a blessing. I do regular oil changes and use genuine rotorcraft parts and add Archoil at every fillup. Love the 48 gal tank to. Arod what def you use fresh truck stop or store bought jugs . If store bought what brand

Had a 2019 Raptor, a 22 F250 Lariat CC 7.3 SD, and now a 19 F350 6.7 Lariat CC SRW Lariat SD. I really enjoyed the Raptor, but the 6.7 really is just as much fun and sounds better. I sold the Raptor to buy the 22 F250 7.3 SD to tow my 32' travel trailer. Towed it twice and said "Should have bought the diesel." Then went out and bought the diesel. No comparison. The 6.7 is a great engine. Loving it with the intake and DPF back 5" on it. Sounds sweet!!!! Just so much more fun and capable than the 7.3 and much better mileage loaded and loaded. It's a no brainer.

If you aren't towing a lot or heavy the 7.3 is fine....but if you tow a lot especially in hilly areas, that diesel is NO CONTEST. The "maintenance" is more but if you do some yourself it isn't all bad IMO of course. MY parents have a 31' Class C MH with the V10 and it gets crap mileage (I realize no MH gets great MPG) but my dad isn't the best at maintenance so pushing him into a diesel when I can't be there to do it or tell him to do this or that isn't wise....I wish he was better because a diesel would be better for them overall.

That v10 is pretty good engine if you didn't want a diesel. MPG not so good tho. It'll go the distance and is relatively strong for what it is. Way better than a 5.4!

My current truck is a 2015 f350 larit crew and I love the truck. I also had a 2005 6.0 f350 xlt sport that had color matched bumpers. That truck cost me a lot of money with repairs. And I had a 6.4 f350 larit and never did anything except fluids and filter and when I traded the truck it had 150k on the clock. Never gave me any problems but I knew it was a matter of time that’s why I trade it in on my 2015. I don’t like the 23 and new body style at all and the whole big brother watching is not for me. I’ll keep driving my 2015.

Just payed off my 2020 KR tremor 7.3 last month,Dec build delivery Feb ( pre mask crap)Only 37km. Towing only 5-8 lbs She’s purring along nicely, 4:30s are perfect, and steering is lighter with the gassr, nose weight less,vs my 2017 6.7 haven’t seen the Ga. dealer since new, 5k penz oil,OEM filters, Great truck ,last of the High Boys.

Mannnnnn, these new trucks and cars are just too much, I make good money but I'm not paying $700 a month for a car (not including insurance and gas)......I'll continue to fix my 04 6L PS and know I own it at the end of the day.

It's hard to even find anyone to fix a 6.4 these days....the 6L (Which I own one) have their issues, not denying that but if you can put in the money it is a solid motor/truck. The downside is, you are limited by weight as opposed to the newer 6.7L units.....but F DEF in it's a$$

Best years are 18 to 21??? Not sure about 19-20-21 but my 2018 f350 Dually Lariat had ISSUES! 1 - at 45k miles I had to replace BOTH front wheel bearings. I do tow a 16k 5th wheel but according to the Cat scales I only had 100 lbs extra on the front axle. Only drive normal city and highway roads. 2 - at 55k I had to replace the starter. 3 - at 40k the passenger mirror would not retract. 4 - at 45k the rear outside aluminum wheels were corroded so bad around the metal air nozzle that I was losing air pressure, both wheels replaced. I sold this truck at 65k and the “new” wheels were corroded the same as the original. All the work except the starter were warranty work.

Never had a diesel. I would like to know why do you have to change out the CP pump? Put a Pusher Intake pipe, intakes and etc. is Ford that bad on diesels. I’ve own mannny F150’s. I know Banks is the top tier of aftermarket for more horsepower and the I dash is awesome! Is Ford CP pump that bad? These trucks are very expensive then dump another say $6,000-10,000 in parts? Not a hater been watching PTT for a while and subscribe and like button. It just seems like Ford needs to start making Ford Tuff and quality control their main priority!

also have been running 6.8 in fleet and emergency vehicles for a few years and they are work horses. slow but sturdy. more air/vacuum problems then anything. how do the new 6.8 compare to triton?

Except a 7.3 gas can out-tow a 6blow. A SRW 7.3 can tow more than a Tow Boss 6.blow.

It's funny I was going to sell my 18 6.2 and get a 7.3 but I wasn't to impressed, plus a buddy had his 7.3 engine go out!
