The measurements for the flour and the water are reversed. Its 2 2/3 cup flour and 1 2/3 cup water. We were just going by what he said in the video and it was way too soupy.

Way to much water in sauce. Our school pizza was 1 1/4 thick, love the subs walk in the school and smell all that fresh bread baking.

@@mynameisfriday118 @kimberlygaddy3051 is correct. I have the original recipe and it calls for 2 2/3 cups flour and 1 2/3 cup warm water (105 - 110 degrees F). He also forgot to mention the salt in the crust recipe. And the sauce recipe calls for one 6 ounce can of tomato PASTE. Not tomato sauce.

When I was growing up and in school we couldn't wait till pizza day and there was something else I couldn't wait for and that was peaches with yeast rolls cause I would dip my rolled in the peach juice and make a P I G hog of myself LOL

First, pizza looks great...just like they made in the late 60's early 70's! I will be trying this! Thanks for sharing. After reading ALL the comments, the measurements for the flour and water are reversed in the video. If you make it like he said in the video, your dough will be too soupy. Should be 2 2/3 cups of flour and 1 2/3 cups of water. And I agree with another poster that the dough is not cooked quite enough. Maybe add another 5 minutes to the first bake IMHO. 😁

Same for me. Like in my entire time as a student we never had anything other than pepperoni and occasionally plain cheese. That's one reason I think there must have been different suppliers for different areas, and trying to recapture our joyful pizza nostalgia is futile, because more than likely, there's no existing recipe anywhere of what most of us had.

Honestly never cared for school pizza. Had to wipe the grease off with napkins and add mustard to combat remaining greasiness.
