This live version is from their very first domestic tour and as others have said, the opening song is actually an updated arrangement of something from the guitarist's pre-band solo career, they have a lot more material to work with these days. This video gets reacted to most frequently cos it's less likely to get copyright claimed than their official MVs. For something kinda different to both of these, check out a live version of their song Synchronicity, it's more of a vocal duet song and possibly the closest the band ever gets to bigband jazz. Some versions has the singer Yuko playing piano as well, which was her primary instrument whilst studying.

No he absolutely says "That's an arsehole!" and points at Mark. Mark's reaction should have been "OK Big man! No problem.I'll just walk away." but no, he wants a showdown at noon with the six foot martial arts expert with arms like tree trunks with a heavy wooden club in each paw. We Scots are a brave people! Not smart maybe but brave!

Love wagakki band. Differ from you in that I like the mix of traditional and power guitar. Only one song out of their varied repetoire. Think she is singing Shingen style. She is also a great piano player - Singer-songwriter. She is a Shigin master. voice actor. Radio personality. She started playing classical piano at the age of 3, and began performing poetry, poetry, and sword dance at the age of 5. She graduated from Tokyo College of Music, majoring in instrumental music (piano).

You can't judge Wagakki Band by a show case song. Homura (flame) is a song that Machiya (the guitarist) had with him from the time before the Wagakki Band. The song is only played at concerts and is not on any of the seven albums they have released. It is also played differently at each concert. Akatsuki no ito (thread of down) is a Wagakki band song and is more the style you would expect from them. Wagakki Band is not a pure metal band, they have songs in most genres but mostly rock and j-pop and folk rock, even if they have some metal ingredients. Wagakki Band videos often come in pairs with two songs The one I would recommend for a Wagakki Band experience also has two songs Wagakki Band - 戦-ikusa- + 拍手喝采 (Hakushu Kassai)/ Dai Shinnenkai 2018 Ashita e no Koukai [ENG SUB CC]

I absolutely love the guitar notes in this one. Would fit like an Infinity Gauntlet in an epic JRPG boss fight like in Xenoblade. ^_^

The drummer did NOT call anybody an a-hole. He was speaking Japanese, which you obviously don't speak. So your brain picked something in English that sounds sort of similar, and you then believed THAT was what he said. It wasn't.

The bass player is called ASA, in english, which might have been pronounced differently in the japanese original. They do have a WIDE range of music, you really can't jusge by a single song 👍😎 Even if they turn out not to be to your personal tastes, that's 100% 😎👍, as we can't, and shouldn't, all love the same things! 😀👌

和楽器Wagakki※ Band Members Yuko Suzuhana (鈴華ゆう子) - vocals, piano Machiya (町屋) - guitar, vocals Beni Ninagawa (蜷川べに) - 津軽三味線tsugaru shamisen※ Kiyoshi Ibukuro (いぶくろ聖志) - 琴koto※ Asa (亜沙) - bass Daisuke Kaminaga (神永大輔) - 尺八shakuhachi※ Wasabi (山葵) - drums Kurona (黒流) - 和太鼓wadaiko※ ※ The wagakki is traditional Japanese musical instruments 鈴華ゆう子 Yuko Suzuhana(vorcal) is a 師範 Shihan=Qualified instructor of 詩吟Shigin=the recitation of the poem(a traditional Japanese performing art), and her singing is based on the vocal method of Shigin. Additionally, she has also studied 剣詩舞(Kenshibu=Sword dance to 詩吟Shigin) since she was a child. She also studied piano at the Tokyo College of Music, and is a very experienced and talented songwriter. Beni Ninagawa (蜷川べに) - 津軽三味線tsugaru shamisen=The shamisen is a three-stringed Japanese instrument played by striking the strings with a plectrum, known as 撥bachi. Tsugaru-shamisen refers to both the Japanese genre of shamisen music originating from Tsugaru Peninsula in present-day Aomori Prefecture and the instrument it is performed with. Tsugaru-shamisen is characterized by fast and furious playing, which sets it apart from the usual traditional shamisen music, but it also goes well with rock and metal music, so it is not uncommon for Tsugaru-shamisen to perform and compete with those fields. The koto is known as “Japanese harp”, traditional Japanese stringed instrument similar to a zither. The shakuhachi is a traditional Japanese instrument made from bamboo. The wadaiko is Japanese drum.

That "flutist" was rocking it! (If it was a flute, I dunno) Makes me wonder if they've got a tune or two where the drumming duo goes a bit harder.

First of all, this Wagakki Band video is composed by to songs, the instrumental "Homura" + "Akatsuki no Ito" It's funny when you say "I don't really know what I getting myself in for"... for God's sake you are just reacting to a rock song, not starting a journey with Frodo to Mount Doom. Also... what "Homura" has to do with Dragon Force, are you loosing your hearing? Homura is clearly much more closer to prog rock than the power metal of Dragon Force. P.S. Vaping could be dangerous and could kill, dude.😉

Homura sounds nothing like any of the prog rock I’ve been listening to. If that’s what prog rock sounds like, I’m hoping the vape wipes me out.
