Hello and welcome to my Wagakki Band Reaction 焔 (homura)
This is my first time hearing wagakki band - 焔 (homura) + 暁ノ糸 (akatsuki no ito) reaction. I have had quite alot of messages in comments of other videos about this band so I am excited to check them out. Wagakki band is pretty popular in Japan, they perform in a lot of bif "matsuri" or shrine festivals because their music is a mix of modern rock and traditional music Some of the instruments are traditional japanese instruments. The second drummer have a "Taiko" drum set. The girl with a strange guitar who sounds like a banjo plays a "Shamisen". The strange big instrument is a "koto" (koto and shamisen are used a lot in traditional music by maiko and geisha). The flute is a Shakuhachi, a buddhist flute. All those instruments are really difficult to play at this level. The singer Yuuko Suzuhana not only sings in a traditional way, she also teach poetry recitation among other things. She is dancing using movements of "Nihon Buyo" a traditional dance using fans.

Thanks Jose for the nice biography on Wagakki band and matsuri music. Nobody agrees with me but they make me think of Jethro Tull doing different takes on British folk music a long time back. I had already learned about them looking at german pagan music. Liked them the first moment i heard them.

I knew most of that but didn't know what the dance style was called or that yuuko teaches poetry. I found this group though beni ninagawa and her amazing shamisen playing.

All are true masters and Yuko, the singer, is a master voice in traditional Japanese opera. Their music is just kick ass fun! You must listen to more by them to gain a full appreciation for their music and talents! They are a fun, fun rabbit hole to delve into. At 70 years old I absolutely love this band!!!!!

The lady playing with "fan" is Beni Ninagawa and the instrument she play is Shamisen, the other drummer name is Kurona and he play Wadaiko, and the bass player is a he, his name is Asa :) Welcome to Wagakki world, Wagakki mean Japanese musical Instruments (Wa = Japanese Style, Gakki = Musical Instruments)

Yuko Suzuhana is an amazing woman. She began her training into the arts at the age of 3 for poetry. And at 5 she began to learn the fan/sword dance styles. She is a master of Shigin ( The old traditional style of poetry recital/singing) and offers teaching in that art when she's not doing any one of her zillion projects which includes hosting a TV show as well.

Hha,, welcome to wagakki band world man 👏 that was my reaction when i first saw them too... super unique talented band... each member hv their own persona and character, their music was amazing with so much of creativity of thier instrument... one of the best band in the world for sure 👏👏👏

Waggaki band has 8 members, 2 girls and 6 men. Waggaki means Japanese traditional instruments. 2 drummers, 1 is Taiko drums (traditional one), the other is modern drums, the drummer named Wasabi The Japanese Harp is called Koto Girl playing Shamisen called Beni Girl vocalist singing in ShiGin style ( a traditional Japan singing style), named Yuko Bass player is Ar Sa, a beautiful cross-dressing man The modern guitarist, named Machiya is a man The Japanese flute is Shakuhachi, a buddhist flute

That's band has only 2 woman , Yuko (Vocal) and Beni (Shamisen) . Bass , Guitar and other are Man . I hope you reaction more Wagakki band song . Ikusa or Tengaku or Ignite . Btw, I like your reaction :) .

Ok. I was also jebaited from his face and the poses he does on stage, but I turn into some old insta stories and he got a very deep voice so far. Anyway- he is a good musician and bassist and the rest doesn´t care.

if you didn´t know already: guitarist is shin oumura (machiya). also can sing. and besides takayoshi ohmura (kami band) imho the best guitarist from japan. great reaction. wagakki band are amazing and epic.

There is only one drummer. But there is also a Taiko player. It's traditionnal japanese drums. So you have one "Drummer" and one "taiko player". Same way you have Machiya on the guitar, and Beni on the Shamisen :) Also fyi, the horizontal harp is a Koto and the flute is called a Shakuhachi (and it sounds AMAZING). Yuko's style of singing is called Shigin, and it is a traditionnal way of reciting poetry.

And Yes, Amy Lee IS wearing a kimono too! ;) kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ntFheteKsJ2meoE.html Also, if you are talking about the character Zhenji, the Zh in mandarin is pronounced as "dj" with your jaw closed for the d, tongue flat at the roof of the mouth, and kinda opening for the j. The "en" is kinda pronounced "huh-n" And "ji" is "djee" (jaw opened, only tip of the tongue touches behind the front teeth). hope that helps.

Wagakki Band! Finally! I don't know about Final Fantasy, but one of their songs, "Senbonzakura", used to be a wrestling theme, for the Oedo Tai stable in Stardom. Also, you have to check out another japanese band when you can: Unlucky Morpheus. "Black Pentagram" is a good start.

Shamisen are strung so tightly they need a pick that size in order to even strum it (it’s called a bachi btw)

Another WTF band from Japan. Just pure talent put together to generate a unique sound, but at the same time an approachable sound. They have played in the US and there are US interviews. My bias is Beni and she has videos of her playing solo on KZfaq.

Should check out Utada Hikaru's Devil Inside, Kremlis Dusk & You Make Me Want to Be a Man performances at her Utada United concert... those songs are originally pop/rock songs on the EXODUS album, but at the concert, she rearranged them to be more rock... he and her talented band killed it...

Suzuhana Yuko - Vocals Machiya - Guitar Asa - Bass Wasabi - Drums Beni Ninagawa - Tsugari Shamisen (traditional 3 string guitar) Kurona - Wadaiko ( traditional drums) Kiyoshi - Koto ( traditional harp) Daisuke - Sakuhachi ( traditional flute) ...sir i recommend to please do comment to their other songs.. -Ignite -Sunwheel -Valkyrie -Okinotayuu -Zenbonsakura -Perfect Blue ( live ) -Subaku no Komoruita -Tengaku and still more.. Look at the true appearance of the Wagakki Band The song "Senbon Sakura" is a vocaloid (automatic singing software) song. Tsugaru shamisen like a guitar, shakuhachi like a flute, a second drum, a Japanese drum, and a koto like a harp. You have seen nothing yet. While I do like these songs and the performance, there's so much better stuff by them and I hope you'll check them out some more. I recommend "Hoshidzukiyo (live)". An absolutely amazing live performance.

That mask is used in traditional japanese drama, the guitarist get famous by playing guitar with the mask on niconico (Japan KZfaq), so he will wear mask on live occasionally

This Japanese Band named "Wagakki Band". "Wagakki" is mean Japan traditional instruments. "Band" is mean band as you know that. So, "Wagakki Band" is mean this band mix Japan traditional instruments and Band instruments.
