So happy to see that someone is genuinely happy and excited to learn the basic ins and outs of oldschool runescape! Watching this gives me such nostalgic feelings from when i was younger back in the day and adventuring all over the world, interacting with every NPC and talking to them to see what their story is. It only Getz better from here. Although you can level most skills much faster in members through quests it however is not necessary if your trying to figure out if you'll enjoy it long term. Glad to see people trying out osrs. Gl on your grind and can't wait for your next update video!

About two years ago, I have started playing this game for the first time. I started out in f2p aswell, only getting membership after I had about 40 in every f2p skill (except runecrafting) and completed all the f2p quests. These very early days of me playing the game (which I still do) were really nice. The progression felt good. Farming gold by cutting oaks felt good and very meaningful. At my account stage it's not that easy to make meaningful progress anymore, basically any skill level takes a day or more, every gear upgrade costs at least 40 million, so it all slowed down quite a bit. But what never got old is the freedoms I have to make progress. Sometimes I boss or raid, other days I just feel like fishing or training skills and I'm still a long way from having unlocked all the useful things from skilling. On any other MMO, I got bored after very few months due to the lack of even having the opportunity left to make meaningful progress, since something resembling close to the best equipment is comparably easy to come by and all the cosmetics mean nothing in the face of the actually good-looking things being behind microtransactions usually.

Getting full rune and completing all F2P quest would be a very nice goal to get before becoming member

very pleasant video, excited to see the next 30. My favorite part of Runelite is the 117HD graphics plugin. The additional draw distance, ambient lighting, and shadows really blow my mind. What old school runescape does really right is it respects the players time investment.

I actually started playing osrs a couple of days ago and I am absolutely hooked! I have full rune gear and I am currently finishing the Dragon slayer quest as I have heard so much talk of playing through it before subscribing. After I am done with the quest I will absolutely upgrade to member status (mostly to get more content, and the bigger numbers and gear) one thing I don't love is the huge amount of walking but that will get better as I level up magic and get more teleports (some of wich are locked behind member status) but I have no doubt that it will be worth the 11€ for me at least.

Hey man, glad to hear about your progress in osrs. it's such a simple game that easily gets addicted but can be a bit repetitive in the future, so make sure you enjoy the game how you want and do what's fun for you! if you ever need help, the osrs community is really giving!

You don't need RuneLite to enjoy the game, but it does have some nice features to it if you're interested. And you can always buy a bond to get membership instead of shelling out actual cash if you wanna try membership but not give Jagex your credit card.

Enjoy the game, explore and do different things. When you feel you are ready to move to members it will not disappoint if you like the free version of the game. It's a game I can take long breaks from and come back to continue my adventure.

Members is a must tbh you can buy bonds for 14days but it cost like 6m

If you feeling up to it, iron man mode is great fun because it'll make everything you do even more satisfying. At some point in normal mode you'll start to see items just for how much they are worth, and then can be a bit demotivating. Why level up herblore if you can just buy the potions?

Not sure if anyone mentioned it, but there's an in-game chat for SoA and it's sequel

Don't even worry about membership until you "complete" f2p. Same with ironman, or runelite.

If so and you want to revisit it for another video I can give you a bond and maybe a few pointers, not actual tips because I want to see you deal with the new player experience still, just a few areas to check out and how to reach them as well as a few members quests that are more of a real quest experience that you can still do on a fresh account.

Watching these triggers my nostalgia from 2005 when I was a innocent noob enjoying every small thing. Take your time, do all the f2p quests, get full rune, then maybe try and make enough gp for a bond. Small attainable goals are so rewarding in this game and add up, before you know it you'll have a quest cape! Getting membership too early might be overwhelming. Word of advice though, if you ever find yourself asking what tic manipulation is, you're in too far and need to quit if you can!
