I had the Yamaha BW 200. Bought it new. Loved that thing. Was amazing in the sand pits. And they are also a 2 wheeler that goes great in the snow too. The 350 must be a beast. All the sprockets make a bunch of noise when they get worn down. LOL.

I can remember when I was amazed by the first mono shock. Now the concept is standard. Yes, I remember trolley cars and Betty was the operator. (For the phone Company, Ma Bell). We smoked 4 packs of Chesterfields a day and the machines at my Mill where I worked ran off the waterwheel outside the plant. The wheel powered shafts that ran along the ceiling and had flat pulleys that had wide leather belts on them that connected to your machine. We worked barefoot and loved our jobs. If I am telling the truth, I am probably dead by now. :-) Those old mills are so cool to see, but working conditions would be worse than what I am really experiencing today. Not by much but...I miss my horse and buggy...

So what’s the update on the bw350 ? I’m trying to search out a BW350 and I’m having a lot of trouble ! I’d love to find a non-running bike. I’m wanting to swap in a 450cc or bigger . I have a goal of a dual sport overland vehicle. And I think the BW350 would make an awesome platform !!!!!! I’m located in West Virginia .

@larryleisuresuit95843 жыл бұрын
been wanting a big wheel for so long it;s crazy, I got ride a new one up a creek in the 80's when I was a kid. you know what they sell for up here in the n/w used as can be? might as well buy a rokon. they go for 2500 - 3000 bucks I will never pay that much. in fact, I may never get to own one for long, I mean, I don't think I would be able to resist selling one if I found one cheap because these people up here are crazy and will pay those kind of dollars. LOL

I have a question not related to this video... Have you ever worked on a "Homelite 26 cc trimmer engine", that requires the piston to be removed, and replaced through the crank case, seeing head and body are all one solid item? I have a couple of them, that has bad carbon build up on the rings, and are not all that old an engine (maybe 5-8 yrs old at best). Rings are badly carbon stuck inside the piston grove, and not making good contact with the cyl. wall, therefore has very, very poor compression, otherwise the rest of the engine, is in good running condition. Neither will start, because of this carbon issue. Would like to see a video made showing the best way of removing the piston from this type of engine, so ring can either be freed up, or replaced with a new one, and restored back to running order again. Would you throw such an engine away, saying it's not worth the time, and effort, or would you fix, and get it running again properly? Remember, the only problem with them, is a frozen-up carboned ring. Any comment back??????
