Hi! Yes you can change the tone mapping on the A95L, they just left it in its most accurate mode Gradation Preferred. The A95L can actually be brighter than what they showed here.

Filmmaker mode in Static tone mapping for accurate dark room watching and Active tone mapping for brighter environments. Contrast Enhancement at Medium to High for more pop. Motion judder on 3 to avoid stutter. Dynamic mode for sports or max brightness content

If it actually manages to display everything at the intended brightness up to 1,500+ nits in HGiG without loss of color luminance or low-luminance color desaturation at up to 144 Hz that would be so awesome. Can‘t wait for Classy‘s review as well. Just hoping that gradation is improved since the G3 was quite a bit behind the S95C in that regard.

@@rahb2096 Seems like it and now that I look at it again it also seems to be somewhat consistent or rather very slightly improved over the years. I thought it had gotten worse when looking at the reviews of previous WOLEDs on RTINGS but if I understand it correctly it just seemed like that because they changed their testing methodology again. I already thought that my G1 had pretty bad gradation and now that finally makes sense. QD-OLED must be absolutely fantastic in that regard.

It's the TV I was planning on getting early next year.

Unless you aim for a bigger screen, keep CX for atleast 2 years.Every gaming feature except 144Hz ( which was very marginal) over 120Hz is present in CX

G4 is my favorite for HDR impact on physical media while A95L and S95C has most accurate colors but I’m drawn to IMPACT

yea i was wondering this as well. in many scenes the G3 pulled ahead compared to the G4. maybe bc the G3 is calibrated?

in the stream fomo mentioned that the g3 is calibrated .

@@spookyman9994 Even if calibrated. It's weird it showed more colors and vibrancy. But it could be an illusion in that the G4 is brighter and hence showed more washed out look. Other demos I seen G4 was always more colorful. But maybe film maker mode defeats that?

It’s a pretty big jump from the A9G to any of these. The A9G is awesome, but these have addressed many issues from the past and have improved upon a lot. You will definitely notice the difference right away with any of these models.

@@stevenhocking6407 I have a LG C2, I can 100% confirm that all SD content has forced overscan without possibility to disable it. I cant confirm it for other Samsung and LG models though, but Im pretty sure.

Maybe a calibrated G4 will also look right? Or at least since it is a new alpha 11 processor, LG probably did not push everything it can deliver yet, I recommend to wait and see after some updates.

Its the video camera that is hard to capture OLED TV due to self-emissive so the video camera has a hard time to find the right white balance. In real life with eyes, I see it white, but on video camera it shows more magenta on QD-OLED and more cyan in WOLED.

What can you tell me about your specific setup? At best Buy, I really loved the anti-glare screen, but I don't know how it will look in my house. I don't want to be in a position where I'll need to return it.

All camera sensors are hypersensitive to the blue on OLED TVs using LG’s WOLED panels (like A80L, C4, G4, G3, etc) but it’s not that “blue” in person

That could happen, tv manufacturers tend to follow trends that are successful. Might see a Samsung qd oled with mla.

Sony a95l the beeeest

I don't know about 'loving Samsung" because the Sony A95L is still my favorite TV for movie watching but the G4 has now replaced the S95C/95D/90C as my all around TV for everything - this thing is a satisfying BEAST because the G4 is easily the beats all TVs for sports watching and when you add that to gaming? This thing definitely rocks so you can count BOTH of us at G4 fans this year!

​@@stopthefomo When you get the chance, you or someone else who has the hardware really needs to test the 95D and the G4 with 144 hz gsync/vrr enabled and some high end gaming. I have the S95C now, chose this one over the G3 due to the G3 issues with game mode colour stuff. However, I love the colours and stuff on my S95c, but there's just too many little things that frustrate the hell out of me, mainly image cutouts. PC is connected directly to my S95c, from my RTX 4090. EARC to get sound to my AVR. I do get a lot of sound cutouts when listening to atmos/5.1 surround stuff, like dd+. When listening to Mike Oldfield's 5.1 albums, which has dolby digital, there's about two cutouts per song (granted, a song takes about 20 minutes). However, my previous LG C9 also had this issue, so I'm not blaming Samsung for this, might be nvidia's fault. Dolby Access app for windows is a mess aswell, so I gave them a pass. However, I never had video cutouts with my C9. Now, with the S95c, 144 hz is unusable, even when just browsing having the desktop open or browsing, whatever. So it's not just with gaming, 144 hz on your desktop is a nightmare. 120 hz was stable, but the tv was advertised as 144 hz.. However, a few days ago, a Samsung technician replaced a part of the one connect box (77" screen, so it comes with the one connect box, sadly) , which many people say is the reason for the video dropouts (maybe because of the 40 gb cap on the box). The first day was great: 144 hz was working with zero cutouts. However, yesterday and today I had about 40 video cutouts in total, on 120 hz for crying out loud. Instead of solving the problem, the problem is worse than ever. If I knew this back then, I'd never bought the S95c. Too much stress. So I really hope you and others can test the more high end settings regarding gaming/pc use, with both the G4 and the 95D. I get it's only a very small % of people for who this is relevant, but boy, it's so important right now, because many people feel duped by Samsung for this mess.
