Jacklyn Smith lmfao are you actually kidding me?!?! Maybe 95% of all college attending rich white kids. As a UC student, I’ve literally never met anyone paying tens of thousands of dollars to just attend parties and football games. Most people attend college to be able to get a good paying job, which is incredibly hard to do now n days unless you have a degree.

Natasha Movesian you wouldn’t know if you met anyone who did, it’s not like they say “hi my parents bribed the school so i can get in here!!” it’s always kept a secret. after seeing the dark side of things in LA this is a very common thing. bribery is involved in every aspect of these people’s lives. not saying it’s ok at all. it’s just not surprising news to me. and i mean i literally just stated that a college degree doesn’t guarantee a job anymore. and there’s many ways to be extremely successful without college. it’s 2020. i know people who went to college, got their degrees and still aren’t guaranteed a job. college degrees aren’t what they used to be. we broke that box over the past 5 years id say. i understand your opinion and that’s what we’re trained to believe and college is totally for some people but it’s also okay if it’s not. olivia is someone who would be ok without it, she had youtube and other goals. & she could definitely be apart of the elite social scene and parties without attending the school. this whole stunt was just so her parents fragile egos didn’t break. obviously she doesn’t have good role models so i don’t blame her for the approach she had about attending a college she was forced to go to. this is her parents karma to be completely honest.

Rich people can usually get out of charges because they pay so much for the best lawyers.
@elisejessica2674 жыл бұрын
It’s so stupid because her mom could’ve pled guilty like Felicity Huffman, served a lil 2 week sentence, took accountability and a deal, and been done with it. Felicity’s moved on and it’s well behind her and people are past it with her because she owned up and is making it right. Lori and her family are dragging this and it’s making it so much worse. The consequences are going to be higher than if she’d just taken a deal and admitted to it. Not too mention how it’s going to quite a hard sell to prove that out of the hundreds who took deals and pled guilt, that she happened to be the one innocent person who didn’t know 😂
@emily-ot7fp4 жыл бұрын
Felicity Huffman only paid to have her daughters SAT answers fixed. Still a big thing, but not as bad as Lori. They always had a longer sentence than Huffman even before the plea bargain. Agree though that the consequences are higher bc they refuse to admit they are guilty. They’re probably hoping their money will get them out of this.
@addieb13144 жыл бұрын
Tea
@elisejessica2674 жыл бұрын
emily true! But there is plenty of others that they caught in this scheme, less profiled of course, who did equivalent action to Lori who were able to get very reasonable deals. My point was she should’ve just swallowed her pride and taken accountability when she had the opportunity. You’re right that Felicity had a lighter deal for her case, but loris would’ve been fair and light for the extent of hers, definitely was better than years in prison lol. Now it’s no going back really and i highly doubt she’ll win. But they can offer plea anytime I just don’t think it’ll be as good as the original and it’s ridiculous she thinks she has a chance of winning at this point. I do agree though that they think money is going to save them, but I don’t know how they can think that when nearly everyone around them pled out. 😂 it makes no sense and I feel like she’s only trying to prove a point now and it’s unfortunately going to be her downfall .
@Smilecheese094 жыл бұрын
I'm wondering if the case will be thrown out since the press has been all over this is could lead to a biased jury I'm not exactly sure how that works so correct me if I'm wrong though
@elisejessica2674 жыл бұрын
Meghen Black I don’t know how it works exactly but an active case almost always goes to trial unless the charges get dropped or a plea is made, thus rendering trial unnecessary. I think a case being thrown out is different, typically the method to what happens after a conviction or trial has begun, and due to some dishonest things or subjectivity that’s been proven that kept it from being fair, resulting in the case being thrown or stopped in interest of fairness, and to stop a trial from happening all together would require dropped charges or a plea. But a thrown out case or mistrial can be appealed tried again, a plea can’t. I’m pretty sure but I could be a lil off. And they do have systems to make it work despite the notoriety because high profile cases do go to trial successfully all the time.
@KateBrinfour4 жыл бұрын
They should have plead guilty like Felicity. Cause she’s a free woman now. Pride won’t get you anywhere
@kristentran18974 жыл бұрын
Kate Brinfour The consequences for Felicity weren’t as severe since she pleaded guilty early on, but Lori and her husband are dragging this on, making the consequences for her worse as this continues. She should just swallow her pride and take responsibility already like Felicity.

Kristen Tran and the crime was less extreme for Felicity. She got her daughters SAT scores changed. Lori and her husband bribed the school. They say they aren’t going to plead guilty because they don’t want to tarnish they’re name. But they are making it worse by dragging it out.

The fact that they listed her as a coxswain but took pictures of her on a rowing machine shows that they knew NOTHING about crew. The coxswain steers the boat and gives commands to the rowers. How could they NOT KNOW?! Also the parents should’ve just donated money or bought the school a wing (which would’ve been bad enough, but LEGAL). The whole thing is disgusting. And the fact that they’re still saying not guilty shows they didn’t learn squat. The true victims are the ones who lost spots at that college who deserved it.

I am on a rowing team and it is hard work! Practice is everyday for 5 hours and I’m only in high school. It’s a lot to juggle. When Olivia jade did this she took the opportunity away from someone who actually did this. She is a privleged rude person.

@@myplaylists6310 they obviously knew. There's no way they posed for pictures without knowing. They are adults not children. They knew if they qualified for the school or not. If they couldn't put two and two together then maybe college wasn't right for them.

Honestly I blame the parents more than Olivia. Even if she knew everything going on.. people need to understand that she is young and some peoples parents are very controlling and manipulative. You could tell she never wanted to go to college. She probably truly felt she didn't have a choice because of her parents & just went along with whatever they told her to do.
@sregdod1664 жыл бұрын
Sarah Love my thoughts exactly at that age you feel like you don’t have a choice you just do whatever your parents say because they pressure you to do well, and you trust them to make the best decisions for you. she clearly never wanted to go to college all these ppl cancelling her when it’s really hard to go against what your parents want, I can’t imagine how hard it was having famous parents the pressure to do well would be like 100x more.
@sarahlove85644 жыл бұрын
@@sregdod166 and what makes it worse for her is that her parents won't own up to it and face the consequences.. so she can't even really come out with an apology without throwing them under the bus. I'm sure she loves her parents and doesn't want to do that.

@trawlins3964 жыл бұрын
Stop saying she was "forced" to go to college. BOTH OJ and Bella wanted to go to USC. OJ for the parties and dorm life experience. Bella for the academics. Neither girl was forced. They also wanted bragging rights.

The whole family should go to jail and pay a fine. They are guilty. Just own up to it like Felicity Huffman did, pay for your wrongs and move on. This family has looked liked they will get away with it from day one, aunt Becky always grinning like she has done nothing wrong, kids spoiled af, dad entitled af and it’s time for punishment. They have wasted enough time.
