Olympic Trophy, a success story of conversion (from VLOC to VLCC) in 51 days. Conversion project done in Oman Drydock Company's Shipyard in Duqm

Wow! Beautiful! I have sailed on Olympic Lion which is a sister vessel of This ship! Feels really nice to see the conversation from VLOC to VLCC FYI u don’t see any cargo pipelines on deck!!! That’s because they r inside and cow line is in a duct! Cheers to these beautiful beauties!!!

I use to be hang over the bow of Olympic Valour to clean and paint the ambled . l was only 16 years old and I was never able to swim. All this happened while we were loading oil in Persian gulf back on 1956

Yes, these were 6 VLOOC owned by NOS shipmanagement. A,B,C,D,E & F whale . I was a first chief mate on B-Whale & later she was also converted into VLCC.

Wow!! It gave a new life for this ship!! impressive!!! It might be a silly question, does it worth? How long will this ship live again? To me it took a lot of money to refurbish it .. wouldn´t be more reasonable to scrap it and build another ship?

I think it would be a lot less to convert an old ship, if the hull is still strong, ah youll find that building a new ship takes more than 51 days so they are cutting waiting time by alot

the exaust gases from main engine will be cleaned from combustion debrises and then used to inertize the tanks.

Только греки на такое и способны!) Попасть на такое судно - ночной кошмар для моряка. Гомункл из приемки металлолома) Грузовые линии ставят ржавые, видать с какого-то трупака в том-же доке и сняли. Проорал с того, что еще и разные мидшип краны поставили!!!
