I will always prefer the grey side of the moon personally. I was able to try them both on side by side. The Dark side visually comes off "plastic-like" to the eye. Didn't like that perception at all, ESPECIALLY given the price point. The grey side on the other hand looks very much like a polished and brushed steel plus that absolutely show stopper of a dial. Not even close for me. Grey side all day.

Has the thickness bothered you using it daily?

HydroZxZInferno The Grey Side really took me by surprise. I knew it would be the more versatile of the two from the first press photos, but its sheer charisma (ceramic with metallic finish!) and substance (THAT dial!) doesn't translate to photos or video as well as the Dark Side. In person, watch out! If you can, this video is worth running at 1080p for the best details of the Grey Side's case. Best, Tim

Absolutely, the camera does not do this dial and case justice (no offence) I was lucky enough to be able to try one on, they happened to have it brand new in a Shop I visit a lot in London

alexcellence21 Hi Alex, all of your choices are *very* good ones. You can't go wrong with a Grey Side or a Master Geo. The Yacht-Master SS/Platinum with platinum dial is a very impressive watch, but the Grey Side feels more *unique* to me. I prefer a watch on a strap, and the overall impression of the nuanced grey ceramic case is dynamite. With the blue sunburst dial rather than the platinum option, I might favor the Yacht-Master, but that's just because I love the color combo and not a substantive argument against the Grey Side. For sheer personality and innovative feature content, the Grey Side all the way. I would say that the best bet is to ask yourself four questions. First, do you plan to keep the watch long-term, or do you think you might sell in the near future? If buying new, the Rolex will retain more value. Second, do you favor a chronograph or time-only? Third, will you take the watch in the water? The Yacht-Master's 100M water resistance soundly tops the Grey Side's 50M, and the Rolex packs a screw-down Twinlock crown for greater peace of mind. Fourth and finally, do you prefer a strap or a bracelet? While (good) straps can be obtained for Rolex Oysters on the aftermarket, it's an additional expense, and the watch rarely looks as well integrated without the factory bracelet. Best, Tim
