+dagoldenclip2 Yeah, a shame indeed. Rose and Alisha's interaction in this DLC are really good too, so makes me wonder how good it would of been to have the 3 humans interact together through the whole journey lol

Ohh ok, I heard they might make a zesteria 2, not sure how true it is.

I feel like the reason they cut her out was for two reasons. One was that she was a popular character and that people would pay extra to have her in the game. Two was probably because as a writer making dialogue between the characters, she was too agreeable and created no in game conflict. There always has to be a black sheep in the group and since she and Sorey were too similar, it created a lack of strife among characters. Still, when she left the party, it left me feeling really sour seeing how none of the characters contesting her leaving. I really liked her personality and character design. In Tales of Berseria, they made Eleanor into that character, but I really like Alisha's character design more.

Because the fact they all but confirmed that Berseria is a prequel to Zestiria means they totally want to abandon the Zestiria universe.... Yeah, sorry to everyone who rags on Zestiria but Namco seems extremely attached to this project.

Two games based on the same universe and even an anime which is getting a second season i kinda doubt anyone wants to let this go for awhile and i cant blame them either im attached and want to see if its going to have a second game about the new shepherd since they showed one and even that Sorey is also back from his 500 year sleep.

6 years later, Hideo Baba's career at Namco is over and still no signs of Zestiria 2... I don't think it's ever happening...

Actually, there's a specific skit on the free skit DLC where we're given Rose's perspective of the events right before her meeting with Alisha. Basically, Rose willed herself to drive her off no matter how she had to because she was afraid her learning of Sorey's "death" would make her lose her drive. Note that Rose actually acted "aloof" the first timearound and just evaded questions, but when Alisha literally stalked her all the way to a diferent city to demand answers she decided to take the "Bitch" route. In other words, Rose was acting and Alisha just pushed further which lead to Rose getting ticked off. There really was literally zero personal interacions between Rose and Alisha without Sorey being there (and in fact Rose barely talked to her) so I don't think they really "changed Rose" though they should have resolved the whole catfight a lot earlier.

+StattStatt a popular theory is that there were supposed to be more DLC episodes, but the backlash Namco got from the japanese fanbase back when this one was announced got them to rethink that plan (but left the cliffhanger there anyway). There is an anime for Zestiria in the making now, so maybe that will give us some answers... or not. Guess we will find out when it comes out (or when more info is out)

Though they could have at least left the cliffhanger out to lessen confusion. :P Well there was an OVA-like episode (which wasn't too bad) that was released before this game's japanese release, so maybe they'll just continue to from there or something. Though more answers would most likely not be something I'd bet on. lol

+StattStatt The OVA came bundled with the Collector's Edition for the Western releases (dubbed and subbed as well), but all it is, is the first 40 or so minutes of the game, so it ends right after Sorey and Mikleo leave the village. It has a few very minor differences like Alisha hasn't left yet when they fight Lunnare, but yeah other than that it was more just promotion in Japan for the game.

+StattStatt Even though it seemed like a cliffhanger, we can infer from the main story's epilogue that no malevolence exists, so that means Lunnare's plans failed to harm Sorey. We can also assume Lunnare's other plan of harming the others failed. However, I do agree that we couldn't see all this unravel in future DLC or in this one.

+omegaevolution There are rumors are going around that the anime might not be about Zestiria after all as apparently the information that it is a adaptation of Zestiria is changed on their website, now saying it is a a Tales of anime or something and apparently one of the voice actors said that they weren't informed much about the plans of the anime.

I honestly thought for the longest time that Alisha was voiced by Laura Bailey. I just got a huge smack in the face when I found out otherwise. They sound too much alike! >_

Why not? The game proper even mentions in a skit that Rose became Sorey's squire and not a Sheperd merely because Lailah is unable to create more than one Sheperd at a time. I recall it was a skit where Rose joked about being the "Replacement" for the Squire position,which Lailah basically points out that Rose has as much Spiritual Resonance as Sorey does which means she could have been a Sheperd. It's basically the reason the game gives for why Rose can Armatize just like Sorey.

I don't mind Rose in this DLC. She's probably had a hard 3 months since Sorey...disappeared. Can't blame her for it. I hope there's a Zestiria 2. There's so many unanswered questions. And I want to see what happens next between Sorey and Mikleo, especially now that centuries had gone by when Sorey wakes up again.

Iris delos Reyes Hate to break it to you, but I don't think there's going to be a Zestiria 2 since Namco's working on Tales of Berseria, another mothership title.

GeonamicWarrior I know. I just wish there was one, though. It most likely has to do with the Alisha controversy, since Namco over-advertised her character, and she was gone for the remainder of the game, except for near the end. If anything, they should have advertised the people that they know were going to be part of the main story.

And Berseria is... wait for it - a Prequel to Zestiria ! As for the Alisha "controversy" that's just silly BS. Alisha was promoted at the start of development, and sometime mid-development she was mentioned less and less with Rose getting added to the promotional material. So, I'd say it was less a case of false advertisement and more a case of the game going through a change mid development that ended up in Alisha getting shoved to the background.

+Jordan Perry Rose is now the Sepherd. After Sorey left, Rose took over Sephard duties while he was restoring the world. And also, only the Sepherd can make Squire pacts.

Devenix8527 thank you for explaining. I just wasn't sure if she was THE SHEPHERD or just fulfilling the duties of the shepherd.

@@niadosan Wasnt that made certain by Zestiria proper? Once the shepard steps down the next one takes the mantle. Rose was prime candidate anyway. What I find intersting is that the 4 Seraphs made it theyr mission to guide Shepards going forward.
