Time to do away with tax collectors!

I stopped celebrating "new year's" (January 1) a long time ago. It doesn't make sense; how can the year be new when it is "the dead of winter"; when "life" is still asleep? Everything comes alive in the Spring! Even people! There is more daylight, the temperature is warmer, plants, shrubs, trees, gardens, flowers begin to bloom; the bear comes out of hibernation (sleep), the insect lets their presence be known...... it just makes common sense...... JMO

We used to run off of a 13 month calendar. There are 13 moon cycles in a year. So there would be 13 months consisting of 28 days each, 4 weeks in every month.

Literally just had this conversation with my son last month about the calendar we go by is wrong and my exact argument was the simple fact that the root word of September=7, October=8, November=9 ect and that technically January isn't the 1st month of the year, March is the true new year during the start of spring equinox.

I, personally, quit using a calendar a couple of years ago. The only reason I still use one is for bill paying purposes only. If you watch the world around you by putting the phone down for a while, you can gain this back!

You guys should really read, Worlds in Collision by Immanuel Velikovsky. He compiled information from historic writings of many different cultures over the world and through the ages. In this information it shows that the length of the months, and the number of months in the year changed a couple of times over the ages. These changes were very uprightly, every time, when it happened and it was not based on human decision of what the number should be - it was merely what people over the world saw in the sky. That’s where April fools day came from. It’s the real New Years Day yet nobody knows about it. August used to be Quintilis aka “5th”. So April 1 May 2 June 3 July 4 Quintilis or August 5. Although what doesn’t make sense is where the other month went. It goes from August to September Sept = 7 so it appears there is another month missing or out of order. Which would make sense since they are moon-ths . There was 13 moons 28 days each.

Interesting video, but I don't agree with many things. In Northern Europe, we are taught at school at a young age about the magnetic North, as we use compasses for studying and fun. In the Northern Hemisphere people still celebrate the summer and winter solstice and there are still pagans in those areas who celebrate Yule and Litha. Also, there are many religions and cultures around the world which continue to follow the Luna calendar - you can see this with important festivities, Christianity included. People are probably more aware of these facts then the two sitting on their thrones give them credit for.

When we went from 360 days a year to 365.25 days a year would be a great topic. I really would love to hear more about that.

There's a bit of a disconnect. When they show the 10 month calendar, they show either 30 or 31 days for each month and the narrator states that forms a year of 360 days. However when you do the math, it adds up to 304 days. It makes sense geometrically that there would be 360 days in a year since a circle can be equally divided into 360 degrees. 12 segments of 30 degrees each. With the slowing of, or rather the drifting effect of earth moving slowly away from the sun the year gets ever so slightly longer the further away earth is from the sun. This accounts for the additional 5 days and leap year every four years. I'm not saying that a 10 month calendar would not work. However, the months would have to be 36 days with an additional 5 days interspersed throughout the year and an additional day for leap year every fourth year.

Did a deep study of the true Scriptural calendar, Sun circuit is 365.25 days, lunar cycle is 29.5 days from full moon to full moon and 354-355 days in 12 months. Coming short by 10-11 days each year requiring a 13th month every 2-3 years. The position of the moon in relation to the stars (zodiac) determines when to add the additional lunar cycle of 30 days. There is a 7 year cycle (Shemitah) similar to the 7 day cycle (week). The average over a Shemitah cycle is 364 days. It makes logical sense that winter is the end of the year in spring is new. Because if you think about it, the spring is when everything begins a new and winter is when many things whether and die in preparation of the spring renewal. So when you correlate that with life and death and life having a beginning and an ending, it only makes sense that spring is the beginning of the year while winter is the end.

Its not only a 13 month calendar based on every 28 days it also only 364 days in a calendar year. That one extra day also throws us off as well.

I don’t do time…so I don’t age. People age because they tell their body too. And by following the calendar and your body responds to that. I’m either here, or not here. On or off. There used to be 13 months in a calendar year with 28 days per month. Some sort of Doomsday event happened and the calendar had to be adjusted. The 12 month calendar was made with alternating 30-31 days and a leap year.

So if anybody can give names to time frames, like using different calendars at the same time... what a wonderful idea! The thing with this video is that the speakers assume the earth has always had a moon. Aristotle, Plutarch, Ovid, Apollonius Rhodius wrote about a group of people called the Proselenes lived in a central mountainous area of Greece called Arcadia. The Proselenes claim this area because their forebears was there before there was a moon in the heavens.
