Taemin blows everyone out of the water. His backup dancers are the best out there & have been with him for years

Thank you for appreciating Taemin. He is back from military discharged (Apr 4th). Now he is preparing his solo and SHINee comeback😅

Prior to becoming a trainee at the age of 11, Taemin had no formal dance training. He started out as a self-taught popper and locker who learned to dance by copying dancers on TV, and, even then, as a trainee it was clear his skills as a dancer went far beyond the average dancer. He said he thought dancers like Kpop solo artist Bi Rain and Michael Jackson were cool, so he would try and copy their moves. He debuted as the main dancer of SHINee in 2008 at the age of 14 -- so he had about 3 years of training as a dancer once he became a trainee. So, most of what you see is just natural talent and an unbelievable amount of dedication. Taemin has put in a lot of effort to become the magnificent and unique performer and person that we know him as today. But there really is no one that pushes him or holds him to a higher standard then himself. He has said that he really has never taken a true vacation since he was a trainee and he doesn't know what to do if he isn't constantly working and training. It is said that if Taemin's dance looks easy then it's actually really difficult and if it looks extremely difficult than it's even harder than you imagine. No one moves the way he does and even his backup dancers struggle to keep up with him. Choreographers say he is constantly asking them to make the choreography more difficult and he is never satisfied until the difficulty level is off the charts. As Taemin has said, there has never been anything that has come easy to him and he has only gotten to where he is today because he has worked hard to accomplish everything. He is constantly pushing himself to become the best of the best in everything he does. Taemin has said, he has worked his entire career to create a style of dance that is unlike anything in the Kpop industry. And I would argue, that that now extends to the entire industry of dance. The first time he says he really took a break was around 2018 when he took 3 days off, and he said he hated it. That is why you see him constantly working and churning out hit after hit. Taemin spent the first half of 2020 promoting and touring with SuperM while he was also working on his solo comeback with his Never Gonna Dance Again album -- "2 Kids," "Criminal," "Idea" and "Think of You." And then, even before he was done with his solo promotions, he started working on SHINee's "Don't Call Me" comeback, and while promoting with SHINee he also was working on SuperM's new song and MV "We Do." And without taking a break, he began preparing for SHINee's repackaged album comeback "Atlantis" and their Superstar Japanese mini album. And in between all of that, SHINee was preparing for their Beyond Live concert and their Japanese fan meeting/concert, and Taemin was also recording an OST for a drama, preparing for a Beyond Live solo concert, and working on his "Advice" album, etc. Taemin's push to cram so much into that year and a half was all in preparation for the fact that he was enlisting in the military May 30, 2021 and he would be on hiatus for 18 months -- which ended up being extended until April of this year -- as he completed his duties to his country. Taemin is known for being one of the hardest working Idols in the industry. He has literally released at least one song, usually way more than just one song, every year for the past 13 years. (That is, up until his military hiatus, which has forced him to take a two year break.) He's also one of the only idols who have debuted in 3 different Kpop generations -- second generation with SHINee in 2008, third generation as a solo artist in 2014 and now fourth generation as a member of SuperM in 2019. You should watch some of Taemin's concert documentaries to see just how hard he trains and works. If you search KZfaq you will find 2 or 3 from his solo concerts, as well as documentaries/behind the scenes of SHINee's concerts. Taemin doesn't have to try to grab your attention, he just exudes commend of the stage. That is what makes him one of the top performers and why he is so popular. He has literally been voted one of the top two BEST dancers in all of Kpop by his peers and industry experts. He has always been known for saving his energy for where it counts the most -- for live performances and for filming MVs -- dance practices for him are literally dance practices, so he is just allowing himself to feel the dance and get in the groove. He is less worried about being spot on exact, and more about showing everyone the feel of the choreography and the story behind the dance. Believe it or not, what you just witnessed in this dance practice video isn't even Taemin at full power. If you really want to see what makes Taemin such a brilliant performer, check out some of his live performances. Taemin live is on a whole other level. That is where he truly shines. You will be even more impressed once you see him perform these songs and dances live. Taemin doesn't need to expend every ounce of his energy in the dance practice video, to show us how brillant of a dancer he is. With even 50% effort, Taemin is more magnificent than a lot of dancers when they dance full out. No one can pull off a Taemin dance exactly the way Taemin does it -- it's never as sharp or precise as he does it -- no matter how talented of a dancer you are. Taemin's talents are one reason why SHINee are one of the top groups in the industry and why they have such legendary status. SHINee is made up of some of the absolute best singers, dancers and performers in the entire industry. With almost 15 years since their debut, they still command one of the top spots and are all very much active as a group and as soloists.

Love Taemin’s music but his dancing is a whole different thing!!! In my opinion everyone in K-pop is a good dancer but Taemin, along with a few others, are the prime example of naturally born dancers, he just has that “it” factor that makes him stand out! Love your reactions! 🙌🏽

Please definitely check out more Taemin - this man’s musicality and artistry will blow your mind! Songs to check out from him are Criminal, Want, Move, IDEA. If you want to see a different side of Taemin go for his Japanese discography - Sayonara Hitori or Flame Of Love have amazing choreography too. There’s also Advice MV and Studio Choom and iconic performances like his MAMA 2016 or his appearance in Hit The Stage (a dance contest type of show he won partnering up with his amazing choreographer Koharu Sugawara). In general you can’t go wrong with Taemin. This man delivers masterpiece after masterpiece. And now he’s finally back from the military, already preparing for fan meetings!!!

There are GOOD DANCER, and there are GREAT DANCER... and then there is TAEMIN... he is above everything... he is both born talented and hard working which brought him on his DANCING PEDESTAL... he is uncomparable... he is KING...

Honestly, Kpop artists have some of the best dancers I have ever seen. I have several Taemin songs on playlist, and as ARMY I can still appreciate other artists. Back in the 90's and early 2000's dance was huge and I miss that element in the music world. J-Lo and JT were great to watch, of course Chris Brown. But, the Kpop industry have great dancers. Black Pink is about the only female group I can watch dance, I find female Kpop groups are too focused on 'pretty' or visuals. I just can't watch them. The men however, are just awesome. Taemin in the 'Super M' group dance compilation is on a whole other level.

He can move so fast it looks sped up and then he can stand still and flick a wrist and it has the same power!

The level of choreography hadn't been seen in K-pop before so knowing that they videotaped their practices, everyone asked for it to be revealed to the public. Because of that, it is a rough video. Words cannot express how talented Taemin is. Every time I watch him perform, I'm blown away. He has it all. The moves, the talent, the charisma that sucks you in, just everything about watching him perform, whether it's a dance practice, video or live performance, he has it all.

I really loved your reaction! He's amazing, and he's also very versatile, I recommend you to check out "Just me and you" or "Flame of love dance version" to watch a totally different "style" of dance from him. His backup dancers are the best of the best, from the best dance crews in korea. A lot of times even his choreographer acts as his backup dancer, when the company usually doesn't allow it, but with Taemin is fine.

Jackson is good buddies with ya boy RM, he loves RM a lot. There's a funny compilation vid of some their interactions called Jackson Loving RM for 5 Minutes.

Taemin is mesmerizing to watch // Flame of Love, Drip Drop, Want & Sexuality -- His debut as a soloist called Danger is top tier. Hope you check out a group called ATEEZ, their dance practices are supreme (Hala Hala, Guerilla, Halazia, Say My Name, Bouncy) -- I absolutely love the dance practice by ONEUS for Come Back Home & Luna (they use fans and are so synchronized aand the fans popping open and shut are so good). NCT 127 and WAYV are amazing dancers and so are MONSTA X (Alligator is legendary). Thanks and enjoy the KPOP ride. I've checked your videos and you've only seen BTS and Blackpink. You'll be more mind-blown when you actually discover Kpop especially 2nd gen. Taemin's group Shinee along with Infite and TeenTop were the initiators of synchronized and knife-like choreos.These groups are still respected even by professional dancers. But Taemin is considered God-tier. You have 4 generations of Kpop to discover.Welcome to hell... :))
