I'm sure centuries ago, a woman could just stay around the house and cook and gather and wash clothes and it would fill up the whole day. Now those things can be done in a few hours. They may be prejudiced against gaje but they don't have the power or influence to affect our ability to be hired for jobs, see our children, receive adequate Healthcare, be equally considered for adequate housing, or even just exist.
