Anita Goodesign Halloween Town Sew Along, Part 4! In this video, we are going to be stitching another block from this machine embroidery Halloween collection. In this quilting block, we will be stitching out 3 different applique pieces in the block, along with quilting stitches, landscape applique stitches and of course a lot of detail.
For this Machine Embroidery in the hoop (ITH) applique project you will need the following:
Anita Goodesign Halloween Town Embroidery Collection: www.anitagoodesign.com/produc...
Background fabric for the sky and ground
Embroidery thread for all of the elements in the design
Cutaway stabilizer - I am using no show mesh stabilizer
quilt batting - any type will do
I am using an 8x8 hoop for this in the hoop quilt block
duck billed scissors for trimming applique
I am using my Brother Dream Machine 2 (McDreamy) AND my Brother PR 1000E 10 needle embroidery machine (Ragnar)

I love watching this series. I am not out of the box girl and that why I am obsessed with this design and fabric cobination. The tip to use organza ion the ghosts is great.

I love the Polka Dot Hat!! On your missed edge, if you knew it was not going to cover. You could of done that Slice as a tiny applique. It is Looking Gorgeous!!!!!! Wow!!

yep. I sure do make mistakes!! if I do, I always leave it in the video - even big disasters (did you see the video where McDreamy made a huge mess?) you can only learn by making mistakes AND knowing how to fix the mistakes.

The ghost looks awesome!!! And the pumpkin.. just do some hand stitching or machine with black thread across and it will look like he has a nasty scar that has been sewn up 😜

Great video Sue. Could you add digitise a green satin stitch line to come up over that boo boo. I dont know if it can be done just a thought. When the design has finished stitching , could you added it in the software then re transfer the design back to your machine, then skip all the steps untill you get to the new addition sew it then Voila Boo Boo covered?

yes, I could. or I could carefully glue in a piece of fabric, or I could use a marker to cover it up. BUT i don't think anyone will notice it at all - I have showed it to a few people and they could not pick out the mistake. so I am just going to leave it along :)
