On Violence and On Violence Against Women is a timely and urgent agitation against injustice, a challenge to radical feminism and a meaningful call to action.
Jacqueline Rose is one of the world’s leading feminist literary and cultural critics. She is codirector of the Birkbeck Institute for the Humanities, cofounder of Independent Jewish Voices, and a fellow of the Britsh Academy. Rose is a frequent contributor to the London Review of Books and The Guardian, among many other publications. She is the celebrated author of Sexuality in the Field of Vision, The Haunting of Sylvia Plath, Women in Dark Times, and Mothers.
Amia Srinivasan is the Chichele Professor of Social and Political Theory at All Souls College, Oxford, where she works on and teaches political philosophy, feminist theory and epistemology. She is a contributing editor at the London Review of Books. Her essays and criticism-on animals, incels, death, the university, technology, political anger and other topics-have also appeared in The New Yorker, The New York Review of Books, The New York Times, Harper’s, The Nation and TANK.

Near the end, Rose said thinking that is not moral nor enlightened nor aspirational -- that is what psychoanalysis about. In 12th step groups, we use the serenity prayer to think about how to act morally either by action or by acceptance.

He comes off as a bit patronizing and he also has an eerily sexist vibe to him. Interrupting all the time, making stupid comments, and asking from the invitees to do this and that, as if they can't dictate the flow of the call themselves. This dude's really annoying.
