In the New Testament, some of the commandments given in the Old Testament are referred to as shadows of things to come. What does that mean exactly? How could God give a commandment in the Law of Moses that was only a shadow of something to come? Our Torahist friends-you might know them as Hebrew Roots or Torah-observant Christians-are pretty adamant that all the Mosaic commandments are still in effect today, and that Christians are expected to keep them. But is that a biblical position?
In this video, we walk through a revealing passage in the book of Hebrews that teaches us about the relationship of Moses and the Old Covenant to Jesus and the New. And if you consider yourself a Torah-observant Christian, or you know someone who does, I believe this discussion can help us all to connect some dots.
