One of my favorite sounds in the Old Blood Noise Endeavors Beam Splitter, and how to get there! A bit of a walkthrough, a bit of a meander, overall just a really nice time with a pedal that came out today that I had the pleasure of working on. It's really a unique approach, rather than just a multi-functional overdrive or doubler, a melding of the two concepts and in fact a tripler at that. I love how different they are and the blend, this is something I’ve never heard before. I’ll be able to get 3 distortion blends on one track I won’t have to do multiple to blend..it’s so rad Dan you guys did great with this concept. Playing also was nice

The touch of the hard clipping being the forward effect is genius as the trails can be cleaner😮. Dan, I’m curious about how “clean” edge it can be for the modulations to take effect, too? And just make it an amp sim next!!! Omg😅😅😂

Ha, one day! I'd say the Green side can get pretty clean, but Blue and Purple will always be a little dirty.

Dan, this video is awesome. Would love to see a video in this format on Dark Light. Could even be a little mini-series highlighting a different mode on the dark and light sides.

Really cool pedal! I use Keeley's 30 ms and a couple of different drives to get a scaled-down version of this, but man this would simplify the setup and the Regen and Deviate knobs are nice extras. Since you didn't "explain it all", I'm going to have to watch another video on a different channel... ha Ha HA!

My guess is Bluesbreaker is purple Green is a Tubescreamer and the blue is like a broken speaker type of circuit. No clue though.

Hi Dan. Are there any internal trimpots for adjusting what the tone knobs do? I found mine to be kinda thin, stabby, and microphonic unless I have the tone all the way down on all 3 drives. I have lots of other drives (too many really) and haven't experienced any I had to roll the tone all the way off with. Granted, I've only tried it so far through the main out into a Milkman 30w Dairy Air set very clean with a guitar with Lollar P90s. I plan on hooking it up to 3 separate amps this weekend, but I was expecting a 3 overdrive pedal to be thicker sounding than it is as I've tried it so far.

It really sounds so good! I am wondering how clean you can get it while still having the deviation effects going on. Though the drive is beautiful!!!

Green cleans up pretty well, but Blue and Purple are always somewhat dirty. You could roll off the volume to clean everything up as well, but it's definitely designed around the driven sounds.

Live, thats a great facsimile of multitracking, but not quite, so studio I will still multitrack. Live, this will do a good imitation live. And its a pretty good gain too. I like it. I can see using this with my JC120/tube amp combination. That old school formula with a new school pedal. Smaller version, use a JC40 and a 15w tube combo. That will do. This pedal could shine live.

Agreed, nothing can replace real multitracking, but this is definitely a fun one inspired by that sound!

It's a Roswell Mini K67x. It's become my go-to this last year or so, really nice sound that manages to feel both neutral and characterful.

Hi Dan !! Congratulations for your excelent ideas !!! Could I use the pedal ampless?? Running the 3 different signals to 3 different channels in my audio interface straight away???

Thank you, and yes, you absolutely can! That's how I'm running it here, direct into three interface inputs (then with software amp sims in the DAW).
