Guillaume Néry can hold his breath underwater for more than seven minutes, dive more than 126 meters without air and has made it a habit of running on ocean floors around the world. He is a professional freediver, meaning he dives without breathing apparatus. Néry tells us more about his passion and his latest short film, "One Breath Around The World", a project he undertook with his wife Julie Gautier, also a freediver. The film features Néry swimming with sperm whales in Mauritius.

I'm glad the interviewer clarify he didn't filmed the short movie with one breath. I was always thinking how he did it.

Each time I watch this and walk away to continue my rather ordinary day, I take with me an element of inner peace I'm rewarded with by just watching underwater filmography. Him and his wife, both, are amazing human beings and inspire me to just do more, become more, be more. I'm so grateful for their work/skills.

I feel the same way in a swimming pool, I can do backflips, front somersaults & cartwheels without the fear of falling to break a limb. But the depths he & his wife are able to go as well & their lack of using any breathing equipment, got my heart to slow down for several seconds.

Turns out it's a weight belt. It's the easiest way to use it where it's slim enough and doesn't get in the way and catch on some of the narrow passages he might go through or on the animals. Unfortunately poor choice of color they should make them matching the thermal skin suits

The whales as in all animals have understanding of who they are and what their purpose in life is if you are a spiritual person you'll know this. They have intelligence they would no sooner desire to walk on land then the ape would desire to swim in the ocean. Humans are the only ones who desire something different consistently. That's the difference between a Soul and Spirit. Animals simply go with the flow of the world's the earth and its movements humans change their environment and the environment of others. That's why they were made stewards not controllers not bosses not owners but Stewards to protect to encourage and sustain all upon the Earth. Somewhere along the line we forgot about that and those who are trying to force it upon us well their idea of it is just as controlling judgemental and not very efficient because if things aren't useful to man they become extinct.

Just for less informed:This guy dives without weights. It's already difficult to dive with the lungs full of air..... for this type of scenes (e.g. walking in the bottom) he must use "negative apnea". Exhale the air of the lungs !! in order to stay in the bottom. very , very difficult !
