As for the sewer geyser in Montreal, i can confirm this was the biggest rain storm i have ever seen in my life. My basement toilet was a geyser (mostly air bursting out) and water table in the soil outside was so saturated that our basement got a small creeck flowing for a few minutes. This was not just a rain storm, this was a flash flood in my opinion.

I was on a motorcycle rally in eastern Oregon driving on rural curvy country roads. The rally had sport bikes, Harley type, 3-wheelers. The sport bikes would always go faster on the roads. A bunch went ahead of me and I heard like braking nosies and yelling. I came around the curve and found cattle and cattle manure all over the road. A ranch was in the process of moving some of their cattle and some had gotten on the road. There weren’t any accidents but a few messy motorcycles.

My mom and stepdad met an elephant in Kruger National Park a few years after they were married. They were living near Johannesburg at that point, I think. The bull elephant came next to their car and ran his trunk gently back and forth over the roof of it. Being from the States, Mom had only ever seen elephants in the zoo or circus. My stepdad told her to not move at all, not even breathe. After a couple of minutes, he meandered on his way. He’d investigated this thing and determined it not worth his bother, I guess. R told Mom that the elephant could have slammed the roof of the car with his trunk if he’d been spooked or angered.

Years ago, the house I lived in was struck. Loud is not an appropriate word. It was instantaneous, the whole house shook,my whole body felt it and my ears rang for minutes afterwards. Pretty scary.

I has had experience too in the 1980ties. Lightning hit a tree about 7 meters (23 ft) from our house. It was like *very* bright flash, followed by an instant loud BOOM who shook the house.

I remember lightning striking a powerline nearby my house, not even a hundred feet away. If it was that loud inside my house, I'm glad I was inside. The crackle and boom were absolutely incredible. It's really a sound unlike any other.

few days ago in my ctry it rains like crazy with lightning and thunderstorms. is common here but usually I am indoors. but that day I was riding my motorbike. It was so scary. the lightning keep striking and it felt so near. And the worst is I can even smell burning. like maybe from the lightning. I felt better when there are cars beside me. it was so dark and cannot see anything except car lights. I was so scared that I kept saying prayers. it is that type of rain and lightning that if I stop at bus stops for shelter is dangerous, if contd is also risky.

I was in the Grand Canyon running out to my cab when lightning struck a tree on the far side of the road from where I was. There was no delay at all between the lightning and the thunder, Scared the hell out of me, and I actually felt the charge in the air. I understand that this means I had a streamer coming from my head. If that streamer had met the streamer from the cloud, I would not be here today. I got a good tip from the fair though.

Man, my $30k car is expensive enough and gets me around town just fine. For some people, even that’s too expensive to afford. Got no sympathy for a schmuck in an overpriced car that isn’t even well made enough to keep from catching on fire. Revving an expensive car is honestly a predictable customer action and they should just assume it’ll happen and prepare the car for it. I don’t get the hype, myself. It’s not your baby, it’s not an extension of your identity, it’s a tool to get you places. It can express your personality, sure, but then you gotta ask yourself what message you meant to send.

Disagree, I think a car can be an extension of your identity. It is for me it just mines an old reliable truck I work on myself. I can have alot more real pride in my car because I work on it myself.

Personally, I think Lamborghinis are ugly. Sorry, just my take. Every time I see one, I normally roll my eyes. I feel the same way about Porches and most other sports cars. I just don’t get why people like these kinds of cars at all. Also, the cars that are the rage right now, the small SUV type of car/truck, they just look like station wagons of the 70s to me. Just ugly. It’s like to me when, in the movies, the characters keep telling us how beautiful or handsome another character is when in reality those people are meh or even, um, not all that and a bag of chips. I usually just laugh knowing the game the powers that shouldn’t be are playing. So I have trained those around me to note the mind tricks being played on them so that they can have their own minds about things and know they are being played.

Well, cars aren’t meant to be revved that high while stopped. Yes, there was a problem in the engine somewhere, but he was just being an ass revving his male genitalia extension that hard in traffic. I’m sure someone dressed him down and told him that he absolutely deserved to have his precious toy completely destroyed even though it was a slap in the faces of the engineers and assemblers who worked so hard to create it.

Regarding the landslide: I've driven in the Appalachian Mts in E. Kentucky a few times and got nervous when i saw they had built walls to keep the mountains from sliding 😮

I've driven over the Kirkstone Pass - it was exactly like that but without the helicopter! Sometimes if there's very low cloud it seems you drive up into the clouds then down out of them!

I live less than 5 miles away from Kirkstone pass and during the winter it’s ALWAYS foggy and the helicopters go over at least twice a day with the amount of rescues they do due to it being a very mountainous place haha

the sewer geyser fully totaled that car. you can see it ripping the paneling apart on the rear. imagine lifting a car to a 45 degree angle by the trunk floor and plastic bumper. the fuel tank also sits there.

@@Blackwoman12345Yeah, I’ve had to explain to my kids when they donate something that yeah, we are potentially passing these items on to people who would be willing to take most anything because they’re desperate, but that doesn’t mean we take the attitude that they’re lucky to get anything. We donate what we still consider usable in hopes that those who really need it will get it, and let them decide. Just because they can’t get better doesn’t mean they don’t deserve better.

Whilst showboating in a supercar is a bit annoying for some, the car shouldn't have caught fire regardless. The Ferrari ahead didn't and he was doing the exact same thing. Lamborghini made an error in the construction. Either that, or a oil or fuel line split
