I do believe C.K. was Stephen's old boss. Might have something to do with it only being two sentences at the end... Edit: also, hope Conan (who worked with him on conan's nbc late night show years ago) and Jimmy Kimmel say something about this sooner rather than later. Shame they haven't already. :(

Yeah, people need to look into this a little more, it's plain to see this guy's been doing this stuff for awhile. Same with Kevin Spacey, Harvey Weinstein, and Bill Cosby. Only difference between C.K. and them is that he basically flaunts it in his comedy bits, tv shows and even movies.

"Totally believable" is allways a bit of a ... mixed bag, when they could possibly profit massively from it. Besides, from what i've read so far (i'm not american and allthough i personaly saw most of his programs, Louis isn't a big deal here, so there was of course nothing on our news about him, other than Kevin Spacey), Louis allways asked whether he could masturbate and didn't actually do it when the women declined. I mean, it's still creepy to ask that out of nowhere, but it doesn't seem to me like he forced anything.

How does a 32 year old assistant DA get mixed up with a 14 year old girl? Can't a 32 year old assistant DA find women closer to his age? 4 women between 14 and 18 have spoken out. He must have been trolling high schools for dates. That alone says a ton about this person even if you didn't know how despicable he already was.

I really can't stand how strongly conservatism is tied to religion. As an atheist who agrees with liberals on social issues, the war on drugs, science, and education, while holding more conservative views on economics, constitutionalism, immigration, and foreign policy, I feel like a complete outsider when it comes to politics. I celebrate the fact that we live in a secular country and I am disgusted by all of the religious nutbags who make it their mission in life to change that.

I'm glad Stephen addressed the Louis C.K thing. People have talked, joked about Bill Cosby and said they can't see him the same way anymore but when white people have issues then it suddenly becomes serious and people pay attention. I'm glad the world has changed and race and gender issues are getting better with Kevin Spacey being shamed and now Louis C.K being shamed publicly and them being humiliated all around the world. I just have one thing to say - Karma is a bitch.

Before we applaude the public shaming and humiliation it might be a good idea to wait for ... i dunno ... proof ? A trial ? A judgement ? What happened to "Innocent until proven guilty" ? Don't get me wrong, if they did actually do what they are accused of , then fuck those assholes. But we should really hold back the pitchforks and torches until we actually know a bit more.

What's there to hold back? Kevin Spacey has admitted to it and he tried to deflect public opinion by saying he's coming out as gay and Louis C.K hasn't responded to these allegations and I think silence on an issue is like an admission of guilt, Harvey Weinstein has said he's admitted himself to sex therapy. They have all admitted one way or another to sex crimes. Bill Cosby didn't say anything but the whole United States has been defaming him for days on end saying his comedy is not the same anymore, you can't believe what he says or what not. You could see black and white people agreeing to what he did was bad so why can't that same overall consensus be instituted now as well?

Louis C.K. nor his representative denied the accusations, and the women stated they said they did NOT want him doing those actions. They were afraid though, because the entertainment industry is still a man’s industry and if they came forward they feared they would be blackballed for life.

The Louis CK story is a nothing story. In fact, it cheapens the ordeals of those women and young girls who were subject to real sexual assault. It's simple - Louis CK wasn't in a position of power like Weinstein, he didn't target underage girls or boys like Roy Moore and Kevin Spacey, and he definitely didn't force himself on anyone. All he did was engage in some weird sexual behaviour (although what's weird) with consenting adults, who were free to leave at any time. I think the big thing people seem to miss is he asked all the women if he could masturbate in fronted them, if they said no he wouldn’t if they said yes then he would. when did they ever consent? that was the entire point of the article. also: if he had this fetish and wanted it to happen consensually, he could have easily found a woman who was ok with it, or even paid a sex worker (he's rich as fuck) but he clearly gets off on women being uncomfortable with his actions, and that is both incredibly disturbing and the definition of predatory behavior.

I’m so sorry to hear about the accusations against Louis C.K that surfaced today. I have read what he has to say about them and I think accepting his responsibility was the best thing to do. That’s the first step for repairing. Even though I reject his actions I think his response to them was adequate and I am still a fan of his work. I hope to have him back soon.

I don't think they are adequate yet, but I think they are in the right direction. Waiting to see. I think we need to see some action/mechanism showing this kind of thing won't happen again, before he returns to any position of power over others.

It always stuns me with how terribly people can screw up defending people accused of this sort of thing. If you want to defend Roy Moore (for the record, I do not), just say you don't believe the allegations, or tout innocent until proven guilty. Simple. Yet we get people saying it's in the past so who cares, or arguing that 14 is somehow consent. Idiots.

I'm from Alabama, and with as much as he was quoting the Bible,and denoucing the LGBT community, I kept waiting for a skeleton(I thought it was going to be one located at some sleazy bathhouse, but hey,them's the breaks!) to fall out of his closet. As a survivor of molestation myself,I feel for those girls.What Stephen didn't mention about Moore,perhaps it hadn't come to light yet, but he was banned from the Gadsden mall for trolling and harrassing several teenage girls. My mom always said "Guilty pig squeals first!", and it's true.. the more they talk about their owm piety,the more they're hiding. Jesus called them Pharasees.

Can I also add that Joseph and mary were adults at 13 according to religious law and standards at the time. Despite depictions of Joseph as an old man in art, he probably wasn't more than a few years older than mary if even that.

In other cases of despicable crimes do we rush to protect the accused??? This is the heart of the problem. I can only imagine what trauma these people have dealt with. When the alleged criminal people say things like "why now, look at her I have better stds (DJT), I will take all this persons money in court, have you seen how she dresses and how many boyfriends she has had and she drinks". Haven't seen many murder cases where a successful defence is built on 'look at how they dress, this was ages ago, they drank too much, if iwas to kill someone it would be someone i despised much more than them'.
