Hiked this trail several times. My Marine Stepson, Scott who passed away in 2015 loved hiking here. Great Hike. The Rock Scramble on the AT just before Pulpit Rock is fun. Looking forward to doing it again in August. A must stop afterwards is Cabelas in Hamburg.

I love the walk from The Pinbacle to the heli-pad, to the reservoir trail head. An enchanted forest.

I had a friend that died about 4 years ago, he loved to go to see the scenery at the Pinnacle, his family took his ashes up there that's where he wanted to be for eternity, next time you go there make sure that you say hello to my friend Mark.

We used to pick a rock and throw it on the cairn pile when I was a kid and would go to Camp Nawakwa in Arendtsville, PA . It was a Lutheran church camp.

So many gorgeous colours, you're very lucky to live in such a beautiful state, the views were stunning. I swear they have got rid of a lot of grafitti from the Pinnacle overlook or was that a different one ??. Thanks for sharing and I look forward to the cave video. x

Nice hike....thanks for sharing. I hiked this a few years back while doing sections of the AT. I added my own rock to that pile. There were lots of people there that day. I hope you dispatched that lantern fly!! For your opening pic...it almost looks like the Paddy Mountain Tunnel on the Mid-State Trail...from a long time ago :>). Happy hiking.

Suggestion: healthier snacks you could bring along on your hikes.. Kashi Chewy Granola Bars.. I recommend Chocolate Peanut Butter. They come 8 to a box and are much better than those dried jerky things.. and better for you! ;-)

Wanted to ask you about your backpack: I metal detect and am often miles from my vehicle so I carry all the necessities I’ll anticipate needing for the day. I am going to upgrade to a backpack, from a tool belt, Fanny pack and finds back. Ugh What kind do you use and would you recommend it without hesitation?
