www.crosstrainingenduro.com We love riding on this property. But today we are riding a relatively new track which is really tough... at least by our muppet standards! It starts with this awkward tree root. Into enduro riding? See all our dirt bike videos for dirt riding tips. Our channel now had hundreds of dirt bike videos covering reviews, and enduro riding techniques. Search our channel for dirt riding gear too. Our dirt riding tips also include wider topics such as the best dirt riding boots. You have to lift the front wheel while pointing downhill. There is very little traction. So we have to carefully monitor where we put our wheels, and also our boots. Usually we can maintain a walking pace on our favourite hard enduro tracks. But walking would be much faster on this track! It would be interesting to see how fast the pro riders could navigate this. A jogging pace? Thankfully I am the last rider. I know this waterhole isn't deep. But the first rider must have been nervous. I am more cautious than the other guys. I have very little protection for my Sherco. It's an experiment. I only have a carbon fibre guard for the exhaust pipe, and handguards. How long will it take to break or bend discs, sidecovers, radiators, the exhaust, or chainguard? Time will tell! Low air pressure makes a big difference in this terrain. I am using 4psi with the TUbliss setup. Two of the guys have just swapped over to TUbliss and said they could notice a big difference with traction now they can safely use much lower pressure. Scott has a full exhaust guard so he can just grind over these rocks. I have to much more careful. Viewers regularly say why do we enjoy this sort of riding? I must admit this track is tougher than most! But there is always a sense of achievement when you finish these rides without injury or a damaged motorbike. I love the mental challenge. You need to 'think' your way through this terrain. On open trails, you can just hit the throttle and ride without needing good technique. These tracks force you to develop your skills and use your head. It's not for everyone. But we love it! This part is interesting! Each rock could throw a wheel the wrong way. Careful line selection... phew! You may have noticed I have fitted a Clake One Light Clutch to the Sherco. I broke the original clutch mount, and the Brembo was so expensive I just paid another hundred dollars and bought the Clake. I've missed this clutch so much. It's ridiculously light. I'll have to do a review soon. Up ahead is Scott on the 200EXC. He has been swapping motorbikes with us and is thinking about buying a Sherco now. The 'baguette bashers' are getting quite popular here in Australia. This is the end of our tough creek ahead. I hope you enjoyed the ride! Catch you later.

I enjoy blazing the double track on the way to single track... but find SO MUCH MORE enjoyment in tough tracks than easy flowing ones. It's definitely why you described too, you HAVE to tackle obstacles and think through the really tough ones... and when you get a technique right to easily conquer a technical section, that feeling of achievement is bliss.

That's for sure lol. It's strange how a few viewers will even say 'You'd have to be stupid, that's not even riding'. I figure it would be like me going up to Harley riders and saying 'You aren't even riding.... just doing straight lines on loud agricultural pieces of shit?' Each to their own. 🤔😁

When someone new asks to ride with us, we ask them: On your normal rides, how often do you have to get off and push? If the answer is never, then we politely tell them this isn't the kind of ride you are looking for! We don't do a ton of distance, but when we are done, EVERYONE is tired and THIRSTY....happy the ride is over but can't wait to do it again next week. @@crosstrainingenduro

We love it (until we don't lol). One of the biggest advantages is the relatively low risk when we crash. It's usually at a walking speed so way less chance of snapping bones in our 50s and 60s.

Great video. My kind of riding slow and technically. Fast riding isn't for me anymore. What tyers are you using now? I'm using tubless as well. I'm using shinko 520dc on the rear and shinko fatty on the front and love them.

The moment you need to change your speedometer from km/h to h/km 😂 Ive always had shitty tires on my enduros. I remember i bought a exc-f 250 '06 with a mx front tire made in 1997 😂 now on my rr200 u switched from the stock tires (dont remember wich right now) to a soft fatty front and a gummy rear wit tubliss... What a change! Instead of using momentum you can now just crawl along using clutch control

I run ultra heavy Bridgestone tubes l ride the hardest tracks l can find recently on the central coast , glass house mts and mid nth coast and constantly run 4 psi and if it gets really crazy l run down to 3 psi and l might mention you need a quality low pressure tyre gauge something that will be accurate under 10 psi l have run shinko SX and Bridgestone E 50 extreme 14/80/18 but l do run 3 rim locks on the rear and two on the front and get good results l will admit the gumy tyres need to be fresh as a dasy as they do go hard quite quickly gearing 12/52

@crosstrainingenduro 8 ай бұрын
We find the TUbliss is pretty handy in this terrain... most of us are running about 3 to 4psi. But if you were spending hours in a creekbed like this you can let all the air out and the rear tyre just wraps around rocks. 😗

@@crosstrainingenduro yeah it is definitely a good thing l haven't tried the tubeless and l have run the ultra tubes with zero air for 30 ks in the Vic high country dew to a puncture after some inspections of tyre and tube the tyre was a medium Bridgestone and it was beyond refitting but the ultra tube l could of patched and put in another tyre so l have had some great results and many years of riding with only one or two punctures but lm happy to try new ways of doing things with dirt bikes tech
