And I agree with one of the other comments: almost all attention goes to the two well known newcomers. I can’t hear that name anymore. Ok, that will come back one day. Nice little toy. My first foray into brushless quads were the xk series. They were a bit of a handful but this one looks cool and with a camera too. Maybe I’ll get one to use while my Mavic is in hospital, took 3 days this time just to get the shipping label. Could be in for a long wait.

Looks like a derivate from the Zerotech Dobby. And it is not addressing the most lacking feature of Dobby, too, the fixed angle camera. Make it a little bit bigger, heavier and add a one-axis gimbal, so the camera angle can be adjusted during flight as required.

Hey Cpt, Enjoy your videos as always. Liked this one enough to consider ordering. But when I queried them if additional batteries are available, the responded that they are not. I'll wait until available in US (w/batteries). Or better yet you'll show us an even better one for the money in future videos.

That quadcopter has some very useful features and seems to be better value than a lot of other nire expensive brands! I like the size, the brushless motors, the gps and optical flow and it has very good flight time. Excelkent review, I've subbed to your channel, I'm sure I used to be?

Hate to be the elephant in the room but here goes......as a backer on the kickstarter campaign I was one of the first to get and post a video review on the ks website. I experienced the same thing most others did *frustration* trying to get it to start the motors and lift off was a pain!!! Once it came down you had to restart and unlock and even then nothing !!! It also had a tendency to auto land for no apparent reason. Basically the problem is in the software or app. As to the actual flight and features.....yes when it works it works well, very stable easy to fly and GPS works well. Camera video quality is quite good however it really suffers from a lack of image stabilization and even it light winds there is a lot of rocking going on. It's so frustrating to get the damn thing to turn on and fly that it has become a $150 paperweight. I would suggest anybody thinking of buying one of these to look at the comments from the actual users which can be found on the kickstarter page or on the app store. I may need to get this to go up against the DJI Spark

Since Hubsan has proven with the 502E that you can have a cheap drone with GPS, there is no reason all drones can't have this feature. This would keep a whole lot of people out of trouble with the FAA here in the states because GPS can be integrated with NFZ software.

That thing looks incredible! In this short example the footage looked sharper than that of the Mantis Q. Is it really? I would love to see more footage of the Fairy in the future and maybe some comparison to other drones in its price range and a bit more professional drones (Spark, Mantis Q). Cheers from Germany 🙂

ji ya think you are great by the way, would you say this is better than the yuneec breeze? and can you try some of the other features ie follow me as i found the breeze isnt great on that but if you go slow its sort of ok.and when it get low on battery it just lands where it is which is a massive issue if you are in the kayak haha

No stabilization?

Hi guys! I have a Fairy. So far l've only flown indoors. I'd like to use a Swallow LiPo charger/discharger that I have laying around from the days when I was flying small rc-planes. Can anyone advice me as to what the connector plug on the drone is, the specs? Not the female connector on the battery pack but the male connector. I want to make an adapter cable with banana plugs on one end and the male drone battery connector on the other. Mostly for discharging, the Fairy standard charger is good enough for charging for now as I believe it balances the two cells according to the manual. Still, would be great to be able to use the Swallow charger for balanced charging as well, it giving some control and information of the charging.

Hey Capt, in where I live this drone is called Brica B-pro5 Sky Explorer. I have one but I always have problem with "compass offsets too high". When it does that the drone won't take off and I have to take it to the service center to fix it. Do you have any idea why it happens? And how to fix it so I don't have to bring it to the service center all the time (cuz they wouldn't tell me why). Thank you! 😉
