I had SMP removed by laser. By far, between the actual SMP treatment itself and the laser removal procedure, the most pain was from the laser treatment.

Matt your hair looks really nice and thick in this video! Ive just had my first transplant but i had a poor donor area. An FUT only got me 1700 grafts:( im worried it will look really thin when it grows

@Balsheme had to get a 2nd one mate. Just keep getting balder don't we so it's just like I'm chasing it. Hate to admit it but maybe fin and min are the only real option to retain

@@wepaboi Thanks so much for the fast reply. What Norwood status were you when doing the first one ? Retrospectively no regret to go through hair transplant vs just shaving ? I am a Norwood 5 at 28yo with thin light straight hair, facing that HT is not open for all

@Balsheme so my biggest regret was going for the FUT procedure because I don't like the scar on the back of my head.(I was nw5) a year later I was NW6a. If I just had 3 FUE a grade 3 hair cut would look great and id be very happy. I think a hair transplant itself is more of an illusion than a cure to be honest. You'll never get back what you've lost. The med will help but I don't like the side effects so my only option is to get more HT's I'll be honest though. From a confidence boost perspective I'd much rather of done this that shave it

@@wepaboi Fair enough and same concerns related to treatments. So FUE / DHI with 2-3 operations might remain the lead option for N5-6 baldies. Not fair nor square, pure genetics ! Thank you again

Hey great video, what are your thoughts starting oral Minoxidil straight after hair transplant? Because topical can't be used straight away.

You can use topical 3 weeks after transplant np. On the non transplanted area you can use topical Minoxidil right after the transplant. Especially if you are also on Finasteride, I wouldnt be worried at all

If anyone can answer this question it would be great. My dad was a NW6 in his 30s. I just started noticing some hair thinning at 27. Will I have the same pattern of hair loss as my dad? I have an older brother whose 30 and has no signs of hair loss. I’ve been on finasteride for about 8 months now.

Just stay on fin It’s very hard to tell how fast you will bald but best to prevent it rather than it suddenly happening

Probably not. Baldness has been shown to mainly come from the mom’s side, which is also why I’m a NW2 at 20 while my dad is a NW2 at 60. Your brother having a full head of hair at 30 is a great sign since you can usually predict hair loss when looking at male siblings. If you’re already on fin, there’s nothing else you should be doing right now. Just know that a lot of men will thin a little into their 30s and your hair is definitely in a very healthy state.

@@MrPatrickbuit Thanks for the detailed answer. My brothers 31 now but I can see some scalp under lighting with him but his hair is also super curly and almost like Afro Caribbean style. His hairline is intact though with no recession.

It's also about the patient as you can see in this vid. Good hair characteristics + high hair per graft ratios over multiple surgeries help a lot too
