Never thought I’d be crying on a song about Superman!

one of the most unique voices in music. amazing.

Still on the radio here in Canada and he still sounds great.

I've loved this song from the first time I heard it and then to hear it on one of my all-time favorite shows, Due South, which I still think was a mistake to cancel, but to hear it used on that show made it all the more special to my heart. Brad Roberts has Such a beautiful Story time singing voice, he reaches out with it and touches your heart. Though I imagine with a voice like that he could sing the ABCs song and still make us feel like crying, lol

Love this version 😍 If (like me) you're trying to figure out the chords to this song, then it might be convenient to know the guitar is tuned in open G6 (DGDGBE). Took me a while to figure that out, but from there the chords more or less fall into place on their own accord.

I love his voice. I would love to hear a whole album of him doing covers since the Crash Test Dummies aren't very active these days.

I keep trying to decipher the logo on the head stock of that guitar. It sounds phenomenal! And of course, Brad Roberts amazing vocal countenance is just mesmerizing.

I was playing music on the bluetooth speaker Saturday night listening to acoustic versions of alternative/rock songs from the youtube website online. and the "Superman" song from Crash Test Dummies came on. Got me thinking, that there are way too many songs (like hundreds of songs) written about Superman and/or songs mentioning & referencing Superman. So, with that being said, why not try to come up with some kind of an original ballad about Batman instead. f.y.i. I am not familiar or good in utilizing song lyrics in a proper structured format, but what can I say -- this is my first attempt at taking a stab at it. "An ode to Batman" Even though his parents both died He himself was still alive, but who knows Maybe, he wished he had cried Rose from a boy to a man only to realize, he would never be a normal sane man. A very strong man behind a cowl He’s out there watching from above But he’s not some night owl or some lonesome dove He is a force to be reckoned with, even without the gloves Villains come and villains go From all of his built up anger Why can’t he ever let it go To save a city and to save his self Fighting jokers mostly by himself And for heaven’s sake, why doesn’t he ever run He fighting them fist over fist, and he never uses a gun When he’s fighting from within, it isn’t pretty When he’s fighting others, it only gets uglier Even a good day saving people could turn out shitty There’s no glory in a knife wound or getting shot in the back What was there ever to gain, from being hurt day after day in pain So was everything just mostly in vain, and did he really break his back fighting Bane He is not the Man of Steel - There is no boy wonder or night wing to save him In the end, would he ever bend to kneel Should he stay and fight or should he flee Or is it time for Gotham to let him be Riddle me this or riddle me that, he was a man dressed up as a bat At some critical point, will it ever be done - if he hasn’t truly won It was all about Superman this versus Superman that But I’m still waiting for Batman to see what’s what about all that Phillip Frappiea 5/31/2024 @ 6:30pm (Updated it on 6/1/2024)
