Ironically, I find One Piece’s characters way easier to remember than most. The author/creator gives even side characters A LOT of personality to the point where a lot stand out on their own.

Hey man so all i can tell you, there's not a single anime that can take you on this grand adventure full with emotions. Happiness, sadness, anger, love, hate, joy and all kinds. One piece is also known for it's nearly unrivaled world building. Only seen such great world building in star wars or lord of the rings

I know a lot of other fans say this about a bunch of other shows, but TRUST ME this is different. One Piece really is an absolute masterpiece. It is not the best selling manga of all time for no reason (Also almost the 2nd best selling comic of all time as well. It is currently 3rd behind Batman, but it will pass it very soon, and most likely pass Superman as well to become the number 1 selling comic of all time. Period) If that doesn't tell you how epic this story is, then I don't know what will lol. The characters, the plot, the emotion, everything is impeccable. Must Watch.

I'm just seeing this AFTER watching all his recent reactions, but is SO good seeing his deduction skills. He got nearly everything right. The separation about 13 openings in, the time skip, the important characters, HANCOCK WAIFU. I've seen the Attack on Titan and the One Piece reactions, and in both his deductions skills are really top notch, congratulations man.

Generally the opening in one piece almost never show something about the story, only little fragments but not so much. When the current arc is in the middle they change the video a little more

Yeah, your in for a real treat, definitely my favorite show ever! Amazing world building and attention to detail, very little filler, overall, super solid stuff. Although, quick tip, for keeping track of the storylines the fan base doesn't say seasons, we have what we call arcs and sagas. For example, the little garden arc in the alabasta saga.

I love how in the first intro he's like "is he some kinda pirate?" and wonders if he's the leader while it shows the flag and sail with his hat and all drawn on. Sometimes I forget that these kinds of things can go over your head super easily if there's so much visual and auditory input, haha.

In one piece you have to watch every episode because in each episode they learn new things and they develop the characters. For example you can get a lot of backstory in just one episode. And all the episodes belong to an ark.

Btw, fight together and hope (14 and 20) are my favorite openings. They're both sung by the same artist and make me the most emotional. You'll understand why, eventually. Very good on picking up major plot points, btw. I'm so excited for you to start this.

the anime is long because there are many factors that contribute to the story. sailing, new crew mates, new characters, enemies such as the navy or rival pirates, new islands and the main character’s crew dealing with the island’s internal conflicts, new allies, the emperors of the sea, the warlords of the sea, the ponegliffs that you need to collect and decipher to find the last island where the treasure “one piece” is, etc
