Thank you bro, I just started 20mg today. I hope you're still doing well, David. I'm really having a hard time but videos like yours are helping a ton.

Thank you for this video bro. I am now on the 3 rd week (Citalopram 10 mg) and it literally changes my life. I turned 18 now and I feel like I am back in life again. I have been suffering from social and gen. anxiety for 1 year now and bc of that also got depression. I appreciate your honesty and bravery. Wish you all the best with your kid and your family. Keep going like that 💯🙌

@@broskiez2641 Thanks for asking! I had a talk with my psychiatrist just 2 weeks ago to talk about the progress. It's hard to tell, it mihgt just start working. I do have the sense that im overall more optimistic about life. Don't really feel more energy or it easier to do small tasks. Did ask a girl out in person for the first time 3 days ago though, who knows wether it was just the little push I needed ;)

I literally started feeling the effects my 1st day of taking citalopram… which I thought was impossible because with my previous experience (venlafaxine), I never felt anything even after going up to the highest dose.

I am taking 20mg a day, and it is just starting to kick in after 4 weeks. My anxiety would make me cancel dental appointments, doctors visits. I would get panicked just learning a new task at work. It is helping me.

i feel no different 3 days in but have to eat beforehand or i get nausea and hot flashes, on 20mg
@wulfsorenson88592 жыл бұрын
Give it 4-6 weeks. You should really start on 10mg for the first 2 weeks to reduce side effects.

I just got on 20mg Citalopram a few days ago. It's my first time on antidepressants. I feel like a zombie and I get shivers, hot cold flushes, headaches and more. To be fair tho I haven't had much in the way of negative thoughts either, I just wish I had a few more brain cells to think with. I hope this fog lifts as I get used to the medication? 39 yo male

First time I started taking citalopram it kicked my ass for the first week. Gets worse before it gets better but hope you stuck through it because you get so much back from it. Maybe you should have started on 10mg. I will say one thing though make sure you take them everyday and dont skip them because the withdrawals can be really uncomfortable and they kick in 48 hours without taking them. You have to slowly come off them if you are considering that. All the best man.

@@vincentvega3747 hI bro, I've been off the citalopram for a while now. I wasn't on it for long, though I did get used to the side effects after a few weeks. I'm starting a new job with better pay soon so thats cheered me up, plus I've been hitting the gym 4 times a week for over 3 months now. Still feel like I'm drifting through life, but trying to make some small changes a little at a time.

I have the same side effects man. It's hard because one of the things that I value about myself is my ability to be a deep thinker and solve complex problems. I feel like my brain is not firing on all cylinders and I'm worried that it will affect my career and self image.

I just started Citalopram yesterday 20 mg. For depression and OCD thoughts. Hopefully it will work. Heard alot of people felt a very good effect from it after some weeks that they felt like themselevs again. Hopefully it will work for us all. 2 days in - feeling a little tired and sleepy. Nothing else of side-effects.

@DavidCompton2 жыл бұрын
Personally I haven’t had much for issues there. My sex drive maybe has gone down a bit but I recently have also had a kid and I work 50+ hours a week so it’s hard for me to say whether or not the citalopram is a major contributor to that or if it’s just my life in general. Lol. Anyway; as master Yoda said very well “fear is the path to the dark side. fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering.”
