+Gemini Sammy Thanks SEW much for watching and the comment. With regards to rhinestone glue, I prefer E-6000 or GOOP. (There are several types of GOOP. Household Goop and the regular craft Goop seem to both work fine.) ... Note: These are noxious, toxic glues. I HIGHLY recommend you use them in a well-ventilated area -- or outside if the weather is warm. Even on days when the weather is warm enough to have the windows open, I keep a small fan blowing on low - not blowing on the rhinestones (so it doesn't dry out the glue too fast), but between the dress and my face so I'm not inhaling the fumes.

+Chinna Rogan The fitting for dance and skate costumes is completely different than for evening gowns & pageant dresses. Skate & dance dresses have built-in leotards to keep the dress fitted and vertically taut. Thus, the mesh can be nice & snug around the armpits and shoulders.... evening dresses, do not have that advantage; the mesh will never fit as nicely since there is nothing holding the dress down.

hello, it there a method to add fringe to your dress without the band on the top? I have also been other dress that have bunches of fringe sewn on a dress similar to bead droppers. how is that done?

How do you cut and attach the full coverage upper body mesh to the garment

thanks for your Q, Phyllis. In my sewing programs, the mesh you describe is taught in module 6 including several hours of videos and dozens of tutorial images and step-by-step written directions. Pattern making and fittings are included in this training. It is not something I have available for free on KZfaq. Hey Michelle! I am SEW excited that you enrolled in my courses and are now a Sew Like A Pro™ member! Yay! But for everyone else who doesn't get to pick my brain in the sewing school... my personal favorite overlock machine is a self-threading BabyLock. I've had my current one for 10-15 years and it still works great. Even though it's slower and makes a terrible noise, I like it much better than my industrial overlock machine because it is more user-friendly.

Shirt? As in a man's shirt? No ... If you mean SKIRT - as in a ballgown skirt or Latin-skate skirts, YES! :) There is comprehensive training (videos, tutorial photos, downloadable PDFs) on several styles of ballgown and Latin-Skate skirts

Hello Teresa, you look like you really enjoy what you are doing. I'm curious have you considered joining the Association of Sewing and Design Professionals. It seems like a natural fit. Also I wonder if you'd consider teaching at one of our conferences. They are held yearly in Oct. I'm the VP of Communications.

What are the fabrics used in this dress? I'm need of the mesh material used on this dress but in blue, do you know a good website or shop?

Hey Pippa, There are a lot of dresses (or dresses in progress) shown in this montage video. Do you mean the watermelon red one shown at the very beginning? If SEW, it is lycra (which was not a particularly bright shade) so I added a brighter mesh over it to up the color intensity. All fabrics came from an awesome store in Indiana, USA .. www.bandshoppe.com/Fabric-s/136.htm. Hi quality fabrics, great customer service! If you're not in North America, consider ordering from ChrisAnne Clover or DSI-London, both in the UK.

Love the videos. Just a quick note I think you got the measurement conversion wrong at 3:27 as 2 yards is under 2 metres not just over. I just wanted to clear that up incase one of your subscribers got confused. Like I said I love your videos and I follow you on Instagram too

HI! Im learning to make dresses look a bit more professional and I'd like to know how to finish the hems. Could you maybe make a video on that? Or refer me to one? So far I haven't found one that I like.

+Giulio Cesare ... My apologies for any confusion. This video is a compilation of over 80 hours worth of videos. It's intent is to showcase the sewing programs, not actually teach. (I have other videos with training as the main focus.) Each COMPLETE PROGRAM has at least 40 hours of training videos as well as tutorial photos, downloadable PDFs and other items that help teach one to make a professional quality ballroom, Latin, Country Western, ice or roller skating costume.
