Hey guys!! I am excited to share with you my JD Glow Single Shadow collection! I feel like the formulas throughout the Galaxy shadows, Metallon shadows, and shimmers are all different so I hope these swatches and descriptions can help if you were wanting to check out the brand!! I’ve been to their website a few times, and I really think it would be worth their time and money to update it. Adding a search function and swatch photos would go a long way in the shopping experience. I know they are very popular, which may be why they feel it’s not necessary, but why not optimize your customer base even further if possible?

YES YES YES GIRL. I wish that JD would come out with a mossy green shimmer of either of the metallion or the galaxy. That is one that I feel like I’m missing from them. I only have 6 of them, Good Gawd (SICKENING;MY FAV SHADOW EVER) and Unexpected being my two favorites, but I’m waiting for some more unique neutrals with cool flips to come out. I can’t rave about them enough. They’re some of the most unique shadows I’ve ever seen.

Yes! As she was swatching I was wishing for a mossy or emerald green shimmer. I'm also really wanting a red with a black shift... Is that a thing? If not, it needs to be. I'd drop $20 on it in an instant.

@@haleyevans74 GIIIIRRRRLLLL. So I use neutral or cool toned shadows (usually browns) but I do a halo eye, putting the darkest shade I want in the inner corner and outer and blending as much as I want. Then I put Good Gawd in the center! And I pat it up almost into my brow. So that most of the shimmer is on the lid and then it fades a bit into a sparkle towards the brow in a little line (if that makes sense). It looks GORGEOUS in the center of the eye like that.

They have molten which is a mossy green color to me. I have all of their shadows except goldilocks (not sure if I spelled that right) but I have quite a few greens from them and I think molten is the shade you're describing

This was SO HELPFUL, Lauren!! Their website definitely isn't killin it with the pictures. In many cases the pictures don't do the shadows justice at all and in some cases the colors in the pictures look much different than they looked in your swatches. I've ordered from them twice now, just 3 shades both times, and my shadows came super quickly and I LOVE them all. I've been trying to place my third order, this time for shades that I love but don't wear as often, but it's been so hard to get a good sense of the colors from thier pictures. All this to say, THANK YOU, LAUREN for this super helpful and perfectly timed video!!! 💛

Good Gawd, Unexpected, Hey Papi Anomaly and Watermark are my favourites from JD Glow. And their multichromes. They’re multichromes are closest to Clionadh than any other multichrome I’ve tried. Love JD Glow. Highly underrated I think. 👌❤️

All of them are pretty so hard to decide. Indie brands have a lot of transparent base with duochrome and shift of color so full on one plain metallic color seem so plain.

I just wanted to thank you for inspiring me to get more use out of my single shadows. I don't have a huuuge collection, but I have maybe 40 single shadows that I just about never used. So during the last Sydney Grace sale, I picked up a small and medium palette (along with some singles) and have used those smaller palettes to curate a color story that inspires me. And it worked! It made me excited about using those shadows. Having a smaller color story made the single shadows feel less overwhelming and scattered and was also just very convenient.

Peachy Keen is so pretty and such a unique color - I don't have a large highlighter collection so a color like this that doesn't go gold is one of a kind. Fairy Acid is super interesting - I don't do grey and/or silver but I wouldn't be mad to have it. Good Gawd is fantastic! Truly there is so much going on in that shadow it is a steal for the price and size. It totally holds up against my PML. Unexpected has always intrigued me, I can't wait to get it. N-Sane is beautiful!! Watermark looks so stinking cool! The only color you're missing is Sapphire - a beautiful deep metalleon royal blue that I personally love to use

I think anybody who hasn't ever ordered indie before needs to order from JDGlow first... Not to set up expectations in customer service and shipping time (I'm sure those are waaaay different across the board) but as a dip into exactly what should be expected from these great, creative indie minds! I ordered from them the first time right when the lockdowns started, but they still managed to get me my order really quickly... And I was hooked... Unexpected is my favorite, Papi is amazing, my Watermark shattered 🥺🥺🥺 (got to me fine, totally my fault) but it was gorgeous! They're all worth it, imo, and you can always find a coupon doing a google search 😁😁❤️🥰

Uh, LAUREN!!! I had to come back to this video to say I bought the shade Unexpected as per your advice and... I can't even... It is literally (literally literally) the most beautiful shade IN MY ENTIRE COLLECTION. The moment I opened it, I was mesmerized for at least seven minutes - the pan, the swatch, on my eyes, reflected in a mirror, in the sunlight.... I just walked around the house looking at it in different lightings and mirrors. it is so damn beautiful. Thank you so much for recommending this. This is what I got into makeup for. I'm freaking floored. For anyone who wants more detail: the texture is relatively smooth but can be thick. I can feel the shimmers when I swatch it, but it's not gritty. It reminds me a little of Give Me Glow's shimmers but not as crumbly. It's VERY sparkly, with mostly lime green and sky blue sparkles. The base is sheer and maybe kind of taupe-y, but the opacity can be built up. And it shifts from PURPLE to a VERY reflective wet glittery shine. Its so outstanding and unique (to my collection anyway - I don't have any glittery multichromes or Clionadh or anything like that). The closest thing in my collection would be Moshi Moshi from the Nomad Tokyo Harajuku palette; but Moshi Moshi is nowhere near as reflective and doesn't have the purple shift. Another close contender is the green sparkly shade in the Oden's Eye Solmane palette (idk what it's called cuz I depotted it), but that shade is much more lime and - again - doesn't have the shift.

If you haven’t tried the multichromes, you need to! Urgent is so interesting and unique. I’m dying to try to liquid multichromes, multichrome liners, and their highlighters 🤤 Gorgeous.

I really want to try JD Glow, though I’m really trying to focus in my current collection and really just love it to pieces. I’ve definitely found that layering some shades in the Urban Decay Moon Dust palette has helped me create some super sparkly looks, similar to what I imagine I could get from a JD Glow shadow

I believe I have all the JD Glow shades I was attracted to. I hate huge pans though. I prefer standard or minis, so I’ve repotted the majority of them and put the left over in containers.

I am such a huge fan of JD Glow! 💜✨ Although I loathe the giant pan size, and hope they one day offer a smaller pan option. 🤞🏻 Based on what I have, I would say I've experienced 3 different formulas, despite what the brand categorizes them as: 1. Hey Papi, Good Gawd, Anomaly, and Unexpected all have the same creamy, flaky, super intense formula. 2. I would say that N-Sane and Prismatic also share a formula that is still sparkly, but doesn't have the same creamy, flaky texture, and doesn't have the same level of shine and dimension. They're still beautiful, but almost more densely packed, more sheer, and a little more dull in a way. They need to be built up a little bit to really perform. 3. I'm not sure exactly how to categorize Opal. It's almost somewhere in between the other two formulas, and yet the least unique. It's just an icy shade with little turquoise sparkles. It's a pretty, sparkly shimmer, but nothing special in terms of formula. ...This is just what I've experienced based on what I own. I hope this helps! 😊

I have most of the galaxy shadows and they're definitely favorites. I love blending 365 into watermark. I haven't ever bought any of the metallon or shimmer formulas, but I would like to get Macaroon if it ever restocks.
