Bought one of these a good 20 year ago. While it hasn't seen a massive amount of use it's a great knife and i love it's design

Additionally on my sheath I ditched the shoelace leg tie and replaced it with paracord in a cobra knot braid, which if you consider by the time that goes around your thigh that is a fair amount of paracord you have at your disposal. Cobra braid has about a 13:1 capacity

I got a old one new in the box 1095 hc , I need to try their new steel with that new sheath as a project blade because they are some good heavy knives for whatever a big blade is needed for. Very good tree chopping Scabbard.

The SP-10 is a great knife, built like a tank. I'm not a big fan of the sheath it comes with. I changed it out for a leather Case Bowie sheath i bought on ebay. Fits great.

Yo! You mentioned how it's like getting a cold steel or CRKT tomahawk. Gotta sharpen em haha I have one of both. Can't remember the CRKT model but the cold steel is a pipe hawk. I shaved down the hammer end a bit and I'm happier with the weight. I've shortened the handles on both. After sharpening the edges, they run so smooth. Just last week I used the pipe hawk to sharpen some stakes that are thicker than soda cans. The stakes are to brace some trees that wanna lay down haha anyways.. super easy! Do you think this knife could replace a tomahawk? I'm always on the lookout to minimize size and lighten my load!

Just ordered this off of Amazon today. I can’t wait to get it ! I paid nothing technically because I used gift cards . Definitely looks like the best USA made knife in the $70 range . Was 65 and some change , free shipping.

I have found 1075 to be a amazing steel. In fact I think 1075 makes a better beater then 1095. I've seen a lot of 1095 break. That's just my opinion from my experiences. Just like I don't like liner locks on folders. I've had two fail one cut me. So I don't use them funny how so youtube geniuses told me I don't know what I'm talking about. Anyway I really like that design just a bit heavy. I think I like SP5. Just more useful for me camping. What's your opinion.

Hello! Mine comes quiet dull, it was sharped but probably cause the blade thickness the angle was very high, so it didnt cut so well.. I had to reshape it with stones to a lower angle, but it was not easy.. did yours came razor sharp from factory?

Scab, on anyone else, can you tell me how you sharpened your SP10. I have the same version, but it came dull as a butter knife, w/ asymmetric bevels. I have the Work Sharp Ken Onion, but I have yet to use it. I've heard people say the 1075 steel is so tough, it's really hard to put an edge on this, even w/ the Ken Onion. Any advice would be appreciated.

Been using one for several years as my camping/outdoors activity tool they are built like a brick #%*@house I've considered switching over to a hammer back poll hawk but i believe even that would be hard pressed to fully replace this piece of kit the mass seems offputting however makes a ton of sense when its potential as almost a campaxe and brush machete is understood its huge for a purpose yet streamlined in the right ways what this represents is a fantastic combat knife meets real world tool.
