When it first came out it was flying off the shelves, but now in almost every store the shelf is untouched. I can't imagine their sales are what they were at the beginning of the year, or even close to be honest. I actually quite like their blue raspberry energy drink, but I also just have a caffeine addiction and its the only high-caffeine blue raspberry energy drink that isn't $5 a can.

That's bc he's used like the media outlets are and pushes agendas he's paid to promote. He's a sellout he'll say or do anything if you pay him enough and it's obvious by all the controversies he's been in. Genuinely disgusts me that man has actual fans that believe his garbage and the fact he came back from the forest incident at all is insane. (Really shows what's important to KZfaq as well since I'm sure Logan makes them a lot of money can't possibly ban someone that's popular can they? ) Slap on the wrist is all he ever gets for anything wrong he does, he's never sorry, he never repays his fans for scamming them (repeatedly btw), and is somehow still popular after the whole cryptozoo nonsense where he literally scammed people out of thousands of dollars and made millions. (idc if he specifically didn't profit from it, though we all know he did in some way or another, he still made millions for his criminal buddies)

Fun fact: sodium and potassium oppose each other in the body, so not only does the ratio of potassium-sodium make no sense, but having significantly more potassium means your body will excrete more sodium so this can actually be potentially dangerous if used in high doses and/or chronically

I volunteer with kids with additional support needs and the kids that were more independent and had more subtle things going on (such as autism) were absolutely addicted to this stuff. Now I’m talking 8 year olds here. There was a 11 year old boy in particular who was drinking it, it was very clear that he idolised Logan Paul and that’s the only reason he drank the stuff. This wasn’t the normal volunteering I do in a school, this was a summer holiday thing where the kids would go 9-5 when their parents were working so they were allowed to bring their own drinks in. In the UK prime is extremely expensive because there’s so little of the stuff that it’s resold like Pokémon cards, so these kids were really putting a dent in their parents wallet.

I would not be at all surprised if word got back to the company ages ago that distributors were selling it into Canada and chose to turn a blind eye to it. I mean, to do so would have basically no downside - they won't be held accountable unless it can be proved they knew they were selling it to distributors who were flooding the Canadian market with it. There's no doubt in my mind that they knew and chose to do nothing about it. It makes me wonder how many other banned products could be skirting the rules in this way if the demand was high enough. 4Loko comes to mind as one such product that fortunately does fall in a product category (alcoholic beverages) that attracts a lot of government regulation and control. But if we had any less of a regulated alcohol market, I have no doubt we'd see exactly the same thing as with Prime Energy.

Branding trademarks work by market - if LP's product was something like an online subscription or a shipping service, that would be a potential trademark infringement, but since beverages are a completely unassociated market from the market served by Amazon Prime there's no infringement

Retailers ordering prime is where they make their money though. So them saying they sell Prime isn't wrong. But if Retailers aren't selling to consumers, they aren't re-ordering. Prime hydration is dangerous, it has zero sodium which is required in a ‘hydration’ drink and I believe it also has about 700mg of potassium, that’s a pretty dangerous dose especially for a 12 year old.

Aspartame is a pretty decent artificial sweetener as long as it's not heated. It's converted into two amino acids that make up our proteins: aspartic acid and phenylalanine. Yes, it does break down into a bit of toxic methanol, but as long as you don't heat it beforehand, you'll be getting like, less methanol than an apple per diet soda.

It's funny that people actually think Logan or KSI invented prime, it was congo brands that I'm almost certain approached them to be the faces of prime because they knew how much influence these guys hold over their fans. Prime could have easily been sold by any other influencer as long as their fan base was just a dumb, young, and rabid. This caused so much trouble in the UK, kids from ten to fifteen were literally and I do mean literally fighting each other to get their hands on this stuff! There would be delivery in a supermarket and it would be rushed by children fighting to get a bottle of prime, I work in education and having a bottle of this stuff was a status symbol and also caused fights, yes I saw fights one even in a classroom. Thanks Logan and KSI as if teaching was hard enough! 😂

The fact that Logan said, when comparing the Gatorade and Prime components, that the Gatorade bottle was bigger and contained less electrolytes. My guy didn't take into consideration how skinny and tall the bottle was compared to the Prime bottle (which is pretty much the same size as a normal Gatorade bottle).

I think more people should watch the food theory about prime energy cause it basically explains how prime doesn’t actually give you the electrolytes that you lose when you sweat. You mainly lose sodium, with a little bit of other stuff including potassium lost. Most energy/sports drinks reflect that, with the highest mineral count being sodium. In prime, the highest mineral count is potassium, which you don’t need much of, and very little sodium, which is how they get away with using less sugar while maintaining a sweet flavour. So basically it doesn’t actually do much as a sports drink, and you only “need” it if you are very low on potassium somehow, but I’d say just eat a banana or drink a banana smoothie if that’s the case.

I work in a Tesco express and we have to minimise prime purchases to 3 per person, so we regularly get parents coming in, buying 3 primes, then daughter, then the son. One after the other to get as much as they can in bulk. We find out after usually from seeing them congregate together at the door or outside. We have cages dedicated to lots of different shop products, prime takes up a whole half of a cage on delivery sometimes a full cage depending on promo change.

I exercise 2-3 times a week minimum and I started using the prime hydration sticks instead of liquid IV bc it's a few dollars cheaper... the way my hormonal acne got SO MUCH WORSE because I didn't realize how little I was really getting rehydrated. You know, it's funny to me when a company sells a product that says it's a rehydration drink without sugar. The point of having sugar is that sugar is absorbed higher up in the intestines, as opposed to water (lower intestines). So when you have sugar with it, to correct the osmolar weight, water comes with it. THAT'S WHY THE DRINKS ARE SO EFFECTIVE. The electrolytes are a bonus (replace the electrolytes you've lost), but the reason why a rehydration drink works faster than regular water is because of the sugar. Drinking a low sugar "rehydration drink" is just a waste of money
