In today's exciting episode, we continue with tip4 in our prevention series and we will be discussing the cooling system and its various parts.
The engine generates a huge amount of heat and to avoid damage must be cooled.
We will focus on the visual inspection and maintenance of the various parts of the cooling system.

5:15 - How does water flow through the engine.
7:34 - Radiator core and aluminium finns and tanks
11:51 - Thermostat. Thermostat is one of the most important parts of the cooling system. It allows the water to cool and heat up the lower half of the engine. And then later it will allow the top half of the engine to warm up later.
Must be replaced every 100k kilometres.
16:15 - Water pump. Pumps the water through the system. The heat and water movement generates pressure.
19:20 - Water hoses.
21:19 - Temp sensor monitors the temp and sends the info back to the ecu. If it fails replace with an OEM equivalent
21:50 - Heater. If your vehicle has a heater core that is heated via the cooling system, remember to run the heater in summer.
25:30 - Coolant is essential in assisting the water in reducing the engine temperature and also preserving the parts of the cooling system. In areas where cold temperatures are experienced the coolant will prevent freezing of the water lines.
27:30 - Cooling system flush. Products used to flush. Do the coolant effective test.
