They came to fame by posting 6-second videos on the now-defunct Vine platform. When Vine shut down they transitioned their antics to KZfaq, from which they each earn an estimated $12 million per year in advertising residuals. Logan is 22 and dropped out of Ohio University to move to L.A. and pursue his "KZfaq career". Jake is 20 and dropped out of high school to do the same. The majority of their KZfaq audience is under 20 according to demographic info. The brothers have landed sporadic acting roles in network TV production. Logan had a guest role on "Law & Order: SVU" and Jake was cast as a regular in a Disney Channel series called "Bizaardvark", but was terminated due to lack of self-discipline and constant disruptions on the set. In the meantime, I constantly dialogue with my boys and do my best to educate them about the meaning and value (or lack thereof) of what they encounter in the age of online digital media. It works by "learning" wish content is good and bad based on the exaple videos youtube emploees shows to it and on what people watch more. What they can control is the videos they show to this AI, so they "feed" to it family friendly content, 10 minutes long videos, and so on. The problem is that its a machine, and a young one (the adpocalipse happened when it was activated and knew nothing), and make desicions based in the automatic subtitules (wish sucks) so it makes bad desicions like this one or like recomending videos of elsa and spiderman doing sexual stuff to kids xD cause it recognices it like family friendly and trendig.
