This series shows how what was once prosperous land that had gone to waste was transformed once again into fields that could be used for grazing and cropped for winter cattle feed. Work to build a bypass along the route of the closed main railway line has begun. This time views of phase 2 top soil being replaced. Over on phase 1 a rip is being used after heavy machines have compacted the earth. Also a brief look over the new housing which was not part of the opencast area just a spare farm field that was sold off. the area was heavily mined in the past and old mines are being filled in to prevent them collapsing.
