It has some key advantages: It runs on Linux; It's free; It has a wide selection of output formats, most of the ones that I've tried give good results; It's easy to use; It's reasonably stable, but sometimes crashes - I haven't yet worked out what triggers a crash so save your project frequently. One disadvantage is that it takes an age to render some of the fancy animated titles. It compares well with Windows live movie maker, but it isn't so versatile as Sony Vegas. Well worth a try.

Good work! OpenShot is the best video software for Linux. We have Blender (3D), GIMP (image), Inkscape (vectorial) and OpenShot (video). It is great!

¡Hello From Spain! OpenShot 1.4.3 is easy. I hope that is sufientemente VideoEditor stable. The previous stable version considerably improved. Now the transitions are not tedious. Sometimes transitions had some frames with "surprise". ¡¡Good job and congratulations!!
