This looks like it could lend itself to creating a cloned person video (whether it could be in the league of Breach's "Everything You Never Had" I don't know!). However, I'm with Midlife Flight. I am truly amazed you produced a practical demonstration in OpenShut without it crashing! Go on, be honest, how many takes did it take to get this one??! Joking aside, as I'm sure OpenShot will reach maturity and stability soon, thank you for sharing these guides.

Good but I use crop and also transform as crop literally crops out part of the video and I want most if not all of the video showing. I found an interesting effect (by accident) not sure if it's meant to be this way but if you take two clips and place them on top of each-other from the start position (so both in track 5) and then remove the transition you get a great effect where each clip playes for 1 second each. In VLC effects I then use motion blur and can create a great effect where both videos exist in the same clip.

Thank you for the video and the numbers on the 50/50 split screen. Is .25 because you are moving the boundary over 25%? .33 is 33%? .375 would be for 1/4 screens???

If you are using only two videos. Crop them to about 0.05, instead of 0.25 that's instructed in the video.

Open shot has changed a lot but I am managing to follow along. My question is if you are doing a side by side clip with just two clips wouldn't the values be .50 for half the screen each?

Very helpful. Thank you! One tip you can do with what you will. I don't know how (or if) you process your audio but you might consider using a de-esser plugin. You're getting a good bit of sibilance and that would fix it.
