Good thing the latest version has the crop options already at the main "Properties" selection so you don't have to do the crop effect step here. Thank you for this I discovered "Properties" and actually learned a lot just by exploring it, such as rotating and scaling the videos so I can actually make my own effects. Though still very basic, but its free so nothing to complain here.

I just used transform to reduce the video sizes and then align them one next to each other. That way I can retain the entire clip without cropping. I think that's much more simpler. But thanks for sharing this tutorial :)

Please see it you can help. I;m starting to use OpenShot. When I open it, the screen only shows 1 time line, track 5 How can make it to show the five of them? Thanks so much. Great guidance.

You're welcome Linda! You could try right clicking on mouse to add/remove tracks or if it's a case where you want to see more tracks at once, under the preview window above timeline, there's this dotted line you can move up or down to adjust viewing area. Also finally, it does also depend on size of your screen monitor as well - I use a 32in monitor so plenty of space for me to see everything I need.

Question. I did this, but the video when played starts at the original position and moves to the changed position, creating a zooming effect. How do I undo what I have done and make it so it's just side by side?

You can use the Undo option however if that doesn't work, you'll have to start over.
