Dimash is Classically trained. He graduated with major in classical, jazz, and contemporary music. Just recently. June 18. 2020 he successfully defended his Masteral Degree Thesis in Composition with the perfect score of 100%.

Ulysses (Italian: Ulisse) - Luigi's opera, written in 1960-1968. In two composers based on Homer's Odyssey, interpreted in the spirit of the XXVI song “Hell” of Dante’s Divine Comedy. The composer herself saw how the final work of his life. It is written in dodecaphone technique using several series derived from each other. The opera lasts about two and a half hours.

No you are wrong, it was in Russia, it was traditional russian outfits (stylized of course), but song was on italian. It was the same concert dedicated to the anniversary Igor Krutoy, where only his music was performed (this one too). I gave you a link to the full concert under the last video.

Thank you so much... amazing, right?!❤ Dimash had just opened the concert with «Olimpico», with an ice dance that had ended with a shipwreck, leaving its "hero" stranded and lying on the ice as Aida joins Dimash on the stage, and Di shocks us with just how gloriously rich and full his lower register has become! The female skater here, plays the role of a mermaid as depicted in Russian tradition - which I admit was a little confusing at first, as the styling is so very different to the mermaids of my British childhood? But I see that as a good thing, the way I'm learning so much about these kind of differences in culture and tradition from across the globe - and just one more benefit to add to the long, long list of amazingness that comes with living as a Dear!🤗 I'm so glad you loved «Ulisse» (almost?😉) as much as I do - their harmonic blend, matching in vibrato and vocal tone, is just so crazy good that you'd think they'd being singing together for years, not days! But it's a real shame that the cameras didn't focus on Dimash more... I mean, I understand how Aida is this huge international star, and Dimash still a virtual unknown, but I think it takes away a lot of the passion and drama from BOTH of their performances - especially as so much screen time was already being given up to the dancers?But of course, it's possible that I'm just a teensy little bit biased, due to my admitted obsession with staring at that gorgeously handsome and highly expressive face of his - so all I'll say is, thank goodness for the fancams!😉😉 Thanks again sweetie, for another great reaction - til next time, take care, and I'll see you again soon!❤🤗💋 xo

Just lovely! To skate it must be cold, and it is not easy to sing operatic when it is cold. But that doesn't affect them at all! 😅 In every duet you will see how humble and gentle Dimash is with other singers. He will always put the other first, make the best for the other singer (you will see in every duet/several singers). Igor Krytoy is the man behind the piano. Maybe you know.. he has composed many of Dimash songs, and often just for Dimash (noone else would be able to sing theese songs) like "your love", "ogni pietra", "love of tired swans" (my favorite) etc. I will reccomand you to react to some well known songs. You will see he always make them his own, like "the show must go on" by Queen, or "helo" by Lionel R.(makes it moore orientalic). Even "opera 2" by Vitas.. Of course I hope you will react to "love of tired swans", gives me tears... and also "Adagio" the lyrics is by Lara Fabian.. Lara Fabian and Igor krytoy work close to Dimash. The best trio! I’m in my 3rd year of Classics, Latin and Ancient Greek studies are university. Yes, Ulysses was by James Joyce, but it’s an alternate retelling of Homer’s The Odyssey about Odysseus’ journey home after the Trojan War to his wife Penelope in Achaia in Greece. The ‘telemachaia’ is the ‘journey’ to return home, which underpins the entire narrative. I wonder if Igor Krutoy wrote it with Joyce or Homer in mind? Maybe a combination? Maybe neither?
