There's vitamin D in sunlight and the light used in light therapy. People that have Seasonal Affective Disorder are lacking in Vitamin D which has a lot to do with your mood.

1:11:40-1:11:55 you can hear Opie really gearing up to make a great point, he keeps trying to cut people off. His point: "nah i make sure they agree with me right away or Ill find someone who fawkin will!" he gets slightly mocked and immediately goes into sarcastic voice like he was just being ironic.

Those first 10 minutes are filled with little shots at opie ants supposed bad mood, ant mentions stealing lines from Steve from bayshore on pal talk, jimmy mentioned "dont you hate people who make it about themselves?", jim also mentioned slurping yogurt loudly. I don't think opie had a clue.

None taken as I know and listen to plenty. I think you missed the point of my comment. I said he is one of the most intelligent AND one-sided human being I've ever heard. For someone who has never received any formal education outside of high school, but rather took the time to keep himself informed and well-read, Ant is very intelligent. That being said, he's EXTREMELY subjective and seems to have a hard time understanding perspectives outside of his own. The point of my comment is I would expect him to be a little more pragmatic when it comes to certain topics instead of being so hard-lined on a single point of view.

You're right and I've put my foot in my mouth with not following your comment properly. Apologies for that! Yeah, he is by no means a complete dope and he is VERY one sided, close minded and dogmatic about so many things.. particularly with fairly important issues, i find. Which, in my opinion, is a sign of stupidity. So I think he's quite a smart guy, but very left-brained in his thinking and is quick to shoot down anything that challenges his world view and THAT is a sign of stupidity. I think it's highly likely his overblown ego problems completely blindside his intelligence all too often

Haha, no worries. Trust me, I get pissed off by Ant constantly, though I am also impressed by how much knowledge he's able to retain. No doubt his ego is through the fucking roof (when you have a legion of followers to attack at your every whim, it's easy to be that way). And I absolutely agree with your point about one-sided thinking being a sign of ignorance.

Say what you will about Opie and Anthony.. . In spite of their mutual hatred, they could hold a conversation on air. Even if you can hear the subtle jabs, they are at least able to talk amicably. Opie at least tried to play along with Anthony's griping. Anthony, of course, does not need anyone to bounce his thoughts off but still humours Opie's interruptions.

I’m sure it was easier said than done. I only started to get annoyed with Opie in retrospect. While the show was together I didn’t mind him. He becomes insufferable in some clips now looking back, though. And his new thing is that he claims he wanted to leave the show back in 2000!! I listened back then and they were absolutely on the verge of hitting their peak in money and ratings, and this fool wants to lie and say he was ready to leave. He’s either completely full of shit or he decided to wallow someplace he hated for another 16 years. Neither is respectable.

I love Jim as a comedian and human being but he buys into that twelve step/therapy nonsense way too much. I seriously think he only does it because it gives him a similar feeling to his prostitution habit. He pays a woman to be interested in everything he says and as a comedian, what more could he desire? Undivided attention. That’s just my theory anyway. Jim’s a really honest guy and I never hear him spout bullshit except for when he talks about therapy and 12 step programs. It’s weird, when he talks about that stuff it seems like his entire persona changes. He speaks very slowly and almost sounds like he’s trying to portray a deep intellectual. But really he’s just a douche who can’t hold his liquor and needs attention more than air. That being said, both of those traits work for him and he is a hilarious, thoughtful guy. I’m into psychology (obviously) but I’ve never found therapy to do much good for me. I found much more results from actually learning about psychology because I’d start to notice certain things about myself that I hadn’t realized before. If anyone on the show needed psychological awareness, it was Opie. But as it shows in this clip, therapy just made his already out of control ego even larger because now he feels he’s enlightened and everyone else is the problem. I’m better now after talking to a person I have no real connection to, you all are the ones who need help. Therapy doesn’t help douchebags like that, they just continue to delude themselves. And Jimmy, stop with the “smart people can always justify everything so they don’t get help.” That’s more AA bullshit, dumbfucks delude themselves just as much as smart people. Opie is a prime example. That statement just annoys me because it really has nothing to do with intelligence, everyone can delude themselves. Sometimes smarter people are more able to pick up on the patterns of their own bullshit so enough with that dumb 12 step saying, please Jimmy. Religious people use that saying to try and get smart people to believe in their nonsense as well. Jim doesn’t realize it but he is in a kind of cult. AA is an organization that has certain cult-like features and belief systems. Anyway, rant done lol how did this get so long...
