Looks like you're right, it is upside down. Maybe he learned to play like that. I was thinking it's probably strung up left handed with a left handed nut and bridge but it seems the bass strings are where they should be on a right handed guitar.

Nothing in his repertoire compares to his early performances in the 90’s. Especially his acoustic renditions. A favourite of mine is ‘Live at the Point’

There are times when you hear a song from a artist and instantly know this person is not just a one hit flash in the pan wonder. Over the many years since the release of Crazy Seal has become one of my favorite artist, especially in concert.

what us really 'crazy' is these guys holding their right-hand guitars upside down and playing the chords inverted. insane, like this whole version :-)

If they've learned to play like that and wouldn't know any better, for them it wouldn't have been crazy at all. Look up the Eric Gales band, they had a guitarist and Bass player which both played that way.

@@douglayton3498 Are you sure? Seal in those days was based out of the UK and Babyface was already a hot-shot R&B producer. I looked up his track record and being Seal's touring guitarist isn't on there. Can you show your sources?

@@douglayton3498 Not at all. In fact, when Clapton first saw Jimi Hendrix play, and noticed he played left handed with an upside down guitar, he went to see him after the gig, and gave him one of his own left handed Strats.

I'm left handed and I learned how to play a right handed guitar upside down because I couldn't afford a left handed guitar. Left handed people are very creative and versatile. 🙂

What happens at 2:05? Theres the last lyrics before the chorus and they don’t wait out the full 4 measures. Seal looks at the bassist and they sort of jump right into the chorus. Then he sort of shakes his head. It’s not the same as all the other versions. So weird.
