Order of the Garter Ceremony on Monday 17th June 2024. This service is the oldest order, and held in Windsor Castle by His Majesty the King every year. This service is held with a procession led by the Regimental Band of the Grenadier Guards marching at 75Bpm to St George’s Chapel, with members of the Royal Family behind.

That must be very difficult to turn round while marching, march backwards and then turn back round again. Incredible skill. Tremendous video again.

Wonderful video. Spectacular ceremony. Only the Brits can do this. Really makes you feel patriotic. Pity this isn't shown in schools. Wonder how war monger Blair got to be part of this?

Does anybody know what the various stick wavings the marching band leader does mean?

This is for 'Marking Time' or stomp ur feet without marching forward. The stick is called mace and use to give signal to the band member whether to halt, counter march or other command. The mace have been use to give signal in contrast by using voice in the band by the Drum Major since the band produce the loud sound from the musical instruments and also to give command by word of mouth is impossible. So to replace that, they use mace stick to give signal and command
