Seen several of the magnesium oreck s here in Arizona, thank you for showing how to break one down. I get a lot of requests to repair oreck and Dyson vacuums up here. Alway going down to Phoenix and Tucson and over to Flagstaff to rescue repairable vacuums.

Have you checked out David's Vacuums and the vacuums produced by David? It's the successor of Oreck as Oreck has been owned by a Chinese company while the David vacuums are American made.

Im not sure on switch, is the button for carpet, all the way forward? When u put all the way forward, for carpet? Would that be the loudest one?

I love the handle design on this over the original Magnesium. The only thing I wish Oreck would do is reverse orient the power switch so it wouldn't be too easy to turn on.

Does TTI still make the old fashioned Orecks that drove Oreck's success for years? Like the ones David Oreck always showed on infomercials?

They make a couple of the classic models still. They mostly make this machine and XL21 style machines now

Do you experience much resistance on the wheels? I just purchased this model and find it much harder to roll than my older and heavier Oreck.

The wheels should turn freely as their on ball bearings.

I used to have a Magnesium. I found the rubber wheels left greasy black rubber skid marks on my wood floors. Did they improve the material of the wheels so that wouldn't happen anymore? I complained to them back then, and they said they would consider it. I'm thinking not, as they appear to be the same here.

I really couldn't tell you if they're different or not. I can't say I've ever seen the wheels leave any marks on all the magnesiums I've seen over the years. They typically have a 30-day return policy so if it starts leaving marks maybe return it?

Hey. As a broke college student in a tiny apartment, I wanted to ask if you have any suggestions for a very cheap vacuum mainly for hard floors that has good filtration (if that's even possible). Also, I know you generally dislike soft rollers as a hardwood cleaning mechanism, and I wanted to ask why. Is it because they can kick up dust as they're spinning?

@@PerformanceReviews Thank you. I watched the video, but couldn't quite understand the part where you talk about how the bissell zing fairs on carpet. Would it be okay for lowpile rug/carpet? Also, while searching for your soft roller video, I came across your stuff on some of the wessel-werk cleaner heads. How do you know which vacuums are compatible with those? Thanks.
